The Vikings are the biggest threat but that isnt saying a lot. As someone posted earlier playing the Broncos tough is all well and good but the Broncos are not a special team. The Broncos are offensively challenged and that supposed top end Viking defense let them score 23 points in spite of Payton Manning throwing two horrible interceptions. The Broncos averaged almost two yards more per play than the Vikings.

The Packers offense is obviously better than the Vikings. They are better at every position except rb and that isnt that far off. The Packers are vastly superior at oline, wr, and obviously qb. At TE I would take Rodgers over Rudolph has been a huge disappointment. On defense statistically the two teams are almost identical when you look at yards per play and ppg. And I think there are reasons to believe the Packers defense has more room for improvement considering Burnett has missed significant time and so has Guion. The Vikings defense has been injury free.

Yup. Vikings are nothing to worry about. ;)

Care to give a reason as to why the 4-0 Packers need to worry about 2-2 Vikings? The Vikings might be a team to worry about next year but I don't see it. They have a pretty easy next 3 games so if they win all of them then I will start give them more respect but right now I just don't have a reason too. As I posted early the defenses are statistically equal with the Packers getting some key guys back and the offenses are not comparable and the Packers have a huge edge at kicker.

I will just say this. Broncos in Denver the last 2 years 22-2. Average score in wins, 35-20. But they are nothing special. We can revisit this thread on Nov. 2nd.

Remember. The Vikings are nothing to worry about.

3.7 yards per carry is not too shabby.

True, but aside of Minnesota they haven´t faced a good rushing attack so far (Lynch didn´t play for the Seahawks yesterday).

The Broncos have played 24 home games over the past two years??? That seems like competitive distortion to me. ;)

There´s no doubt that the Broncos offense has at least taken a step backwards compared to the start last season and I would have thought the Vikings would be able to hold them under 20 points.

Somewhat OT, but the Lions played tough against Seattle last night and could have easily won the game if not for another botched call by the refs.

I could see the Packers losing to this Vikings team on the road. However, I do not see a serious challenge for the division.

Yep, there is no doubt in my mind that we could lose at Minnesota (COULD!!), but I don't see Minnesota beating us at Lambeau. And yeah, Vikings are no real threat for the division.

Should have been 21. But yes. 2013, 8 reg season games 2 playoff games. 2014 8 reg season games 1 playoff game, 2015 2 home games. 8+2+8+1+2=21.

But if you want to go with just regular season games Manning is 22-2 at home in Denver.

Including this season Manning is actually 24-2 at home since joining the Broncos. You have to admit though that Denver´s offense has taken a step backwards this season and that this team is carried by the defense. As I´ve said repeatedly the Vikings will have to beat a quality opponent before I even consider them as a threat for the Packers in the NFC North division, something they haven´t been able to do since Zimmer took over as head coach.

When the Packers beat a quality opponent this year, let me know.

Ummm, Seattle?
Oh yeah, quality opponent. They fit right in with Denver not being as good because Manning has lost a step. Seattle's two wins against a 1-3 Bears team, and a 0-4 Lions team. That's a quality team. Pretty much all I have heard on Packer forums the last 4 months is how the Seahawks are not the same team they were last year. Now you want to pump them up? LOL

First of all the difference is that we beat the Seahawks and the Vikings lost to the Broncos. While there have been some posters saying the Seahawks aren´t the same team as during the last two years I wasn´t one of them.

But let´s set the standard for a quality opponent as a team which either finished last year over .500 or has a winning record as of now. Including playoffs the Packers are 4-4 vs. such teams since the start of the 2014 season while the Vikings are 0-7. There´s no reason to consider them as a threat to the Packers as long as they can´t even win one game against a team with a winning record.

So let me get this straight. The Vikings beating the Chargers(9-7 last year) and he Lions(11-5 last year) don't count. Just want to make sure I got what a quality opponent is. Lions 11-5 not a quality opponent. Seahawks 12-4 = quality opponent. Got it.

I think people are overlooking the Broncos defense. It's the best in the NFL. Broncos offense may be mediocre but you'd have to imagine it will improve as the players get more used to the new system. That defense on the other hand, man does that team have some crazy good pass rushers along with some good secondary players. I'm not saying the Broncos are the best team in the NFL but defense travels much better than offense (just look at the Packer's home/road splits).

Luckily I think either the Packers or Falcons end up with home field advantage through the NFC playoffs and the Packers have obviously played well in Atlanta. I only include the Falcons in this discussion because their schedule is the NFC South and the AFC South, the worst two divisions in the NFL.

Come on, Raptor, you can do better than that. The Vikings didn´t play the Chargers last season when they were 9-7 nor did they beat the Lions in 2014 when they were 11-5. This season none of them is over .500, that´s why I didn´t include the Packers wins over the Seahawks and the Chiefs either.

The Broncos defense is for sure one of the best in the league. I wouldn´t count on their offense improving over the course of the season though as Peyton has had troubles throwing in cold weather over the last few seasons. I still think the Panthers are the team to beat in the NFC South.
