Sure. Yet I don’t agree with the reasoning. We should never take an attitude that we are only talented enough to be spoilers for other teams who don’t deserve to be in postseason. We just played 2 of our toughest 4 games left, both on the Road within 6 days, both pretty banged up or missing key players. I thought for much of the game Hafley did a good job mitigating a top rushing team. It’s not his fault the Teams fumbled and onside kick. The last pair of Chicago drives should’ve never even happened.I don't know if we don't deserve to be there, but we really need to make the playoffs... just for the sake of not giving Dallas a Top 18 pick. Hopefully we can make it in, and win at least one game to get that pick closer to the vicinity of the 25th pick in the first rd.
1 of 9 Redzone trips in 6 days is terrible level and combined with fumbles that could’ve resulted in points or Wins didn’t help matters. You don’t play good teams and repeatedly fail to finish and expect to Win those. These games are very often 1 score margins across the league. The best teams finish though.
Also very few teams can play a #2 seed on the road within a backup QB and expect to Win. I actually thought Willis played really good. He gives us a chance to Win and that’s what a backup QB does. He’s not ideal, but we sure don’t drop off much when he’s in there.
