McManus stud
Other than Doubs I didn't think ST was an issue. I'm not going to paint the entire unit with a broad brush for one player's major screwup.Studs

My only beef with MLF tonight was not taking the 3 points on the first drive. In the end those would have been nice to have.Duds

I saw no studs.
Brutal loss.
Not even REMOTELY close … fire up another bluntThat was just as bad as the nfc championship in Seattle.
Is Doubs usually in that spot on onside kicks? He is supposed to be a hands guy. I know Tucker was before.I’ve got to give a
Stud to Malik Willis, Romeo Doubs and Emmanuel Wilson. Those guys played really good.
Dud:
Special Teams (again). Seems to be a recurring theme and nothing changes. There’s nothing special about Rich imo. Going forward, I’m just going to just refer to them as Teams. Special denotes something exemplary about the unit and past a reliable Kicker or Punter I’m not seeing it.
Defensive Run stop was poor in this one. IMO that’s not a reflection of missing Micah. 5.8 per carry? When you fully know they are going to run that’s a really questionable level Run D. Might more be a reflection of missing Wyatt/Clark and a top ranked Running game in Chicago though.
Blown Pass Coversge.
Nixon is over performing. He’s really a good Slot CB imo. He gets too grabby and picks too many fights instead of figuring out how to cover his guy. He really shouldn’t be talking at all with his stacking poor performances.
I’m not giving Doubs a “stud” when he Brandon Bosticked the game away.
Ergo, screwed up, just in a different way.Not remotely fair.
Bostick screwed up. His job was to block and let Nelson recover. He went outside his job, screwed up, sad face.
Doubs did he assignment, he just didn’t do it well enough.
Willis was hurting on that last series. They just read his bootleg. If he just could have got one more yard when he took off on 2nd down.Studs:
1- Malik Willis, aside for the fumbled snap, he came in and ran the offense as well as you would hope from your backup QB
2- McManus, plus the Bears kicker, they were both perfect with that wind.
3- Emanual Wilson + the OL. Wilson,14 carries, 82 yds, 5.9/att. OL paved the way to the tune of 192 on the ground.
Duds:
1- Giving up only 6 points the first 58 minutes of the game.... then proceed to give up 10 in the final 2 minutes, plus a long TD pass, to lose in OT. Just a heartbreaking finish to this game.
2- Red Zone offense. 5 trips inside the 10 yd line, 9 total pts scored.
3- How earily similar this game was to the Seattle Playoff loss. Gave up a two score lead with less than 5 minutes remaining, muffed an onside kick, and lost on a long TD pass in OT.
Correct, I think he saw 3 Bears closing in on him and focused on the hit(s) that were coming his way.I thought if you slap the ball out of bounds; it's a penalty and a rekick. Doubs uncharacteristically took his eye off the ball. He seemed concerned about the guys rushing up to him. Imho
