I can't imagine anyone saying that Parsons has not been good. He has made this defense immensely better. Hard to understand why Hafley did not adjust last week when the panthers were running all over us.
I never said that Parsons wasn't good. ;)

The Packers defense has been in the "bend but don't break" mode this season. Which actually can work, if your offense can put up more than 10 points up on the board.

If I was a Packer defensive player, I would be proud of my teammates, the ones on defense.

don't know why you thought I was thinking about you when I wrote it. They were not bend don't break last night imo. And I hate it and am disappointed that you say it can work.

Because you quoted me and said:

Giving up only 10 points to Philly is a bad performance by the defense?

This offense is broken. This is not good with the upcoming schedule to try and fix this. The MLF optic of him on the sideline leaning on a cooler is a bad look and needs to be addressed. There was a game being played by his team that he was completely oblivious too. He is the head coach and needs to be watching every phase of the game. Teams are playing two high safeties daring this team to run while also taking away the big downfield plays. So far MLF, and Jordan Love have been unable to take advantage of this.

MLF was asked a question at his post game press conference if he feels he is coaching for his job. The answer is yes. Detroit has established themselves as the leader of the North. The Bears are playing good football. MLF was 1-5 against NFC North opponents last year. This upcoming stretch of games ( 5 NFC North opponents) will determine the season.

I am a Packer fan first and want and hope MLF can get this offense back on track. Jordan Love also needs to play much better.

At the beginning of the NFL year Gutey said " IT'S TIME FOR THIS TEAM TO COMPETE FOR CHAMPIONSHIPS" The city of Green Bay hosts a very successful NFL draft. Gutey swings for the fences with the Micah Parsons trade. A new CEO is appointed. Yes MLF you are coaching for your job. The expectations for this season was enormous. Here to hoping for a seven game winning streak to end the season.

Nobody played tonight. It's time for changes at the exec, coaching and player level

Nobody? You didn't notice the defense? You hold any team, let alone the defending champs, to 13 points at home you should win. The Duds were on the other side of the ball both coaches and players.

A random dud: What's up with the usage of Savion Williams?
I think the guy has some potential, a lot of times he looks exciting with the ball in his hands, but it seems like every time he checks into the game pretty much the whole stadium expects some kind of gimmick play to him and that's it. We spent a 3rd round draft pick on him and last night were scraping the bottom of the barrel at WR - having Bo Melton switch back from CB - and still pretty much reserve Savion for gadget plays only?

I get that maybe he's not a true out and out WR but man I have to wonder what the vision was in spending a 3rd round pick on a guy who is going to get less than 20 touches in 9 games and the majority of them being on very specifically scripted plays

Studs: defense
Dude: MLF-- awful coach, McDufus--Packers had a better kicker and got rid of him like a rag doll. Love-clueless, Jacobs--useless. Receivers awful.

Ed Policy must relieve MLF of his duties and being back McCarthy
I thought Jacobs ran hard. He had one bad play late but otherwise ok.

Winning a playoff game without Aaron Rodgers is not the barometer for success in Green Bay. Or at least it shouldn’t be.
Didn’t say a playoff game

In general he won games in the season he proved that

I'm gonna pop back in here to remind anyone who thinks our D was a STUD of one thing.

That wasn't a scoop and score, or a Pick 6 the Eagles got their TD on. They rammed it down the D's throat when the D needed a stop. Failures at every level of the team.
2 plays on that drive killed us and it took 3 great players to make them happen: Hurts, Barkley, and AJ. Now if that is their only TD of the game then Amen. For almost all of Rodgers career here we only dreamed of giving up one TD in a game. Especially against the SB Champs.

I think after the 2010-11 season, the vast majority of Packer fans would have said “wow, Mike McCarthy is a really good HC and Dom Capers is a great DC and they have proven so much. We are lucky to have them.”

Andy Reid was once run out of town in Philly. It has worked out just fine for Philly, who has won Super Bowls since then, and it has worked out just fine for Reid, who has won Super Bowls in Kansas City since then.

Nothing anyone does gives them a lifetime pass. Sometimes the situation gets stale and the fit just isn’t there anymore and that’s fine.

Sorry, I guess I did quote you. I really didn't mean you. 2. Of course not. I never said we played bad. But I never felt like we were playing bend don't break was my point. We were just playing tough defense.

I accidently hit the like button. Even after the D yielded a TD to the Eagles the D stopped them and gave us a chance to tie it up in the waning moments of the game but the O imploded yet again.

Williams and Melton are playing because Reed, Golden and Kraft are out and Doubs got hurt during the game.

That's exactly what I'm getting at though - and in spite of that Williams really ISN'T playing in any meaningful capacity in the passing game. 6 snaps last night and two targets/rec for a total of 2 yards.

Even when we are desperate for pass-catchers, like mentioned to the point of having to get Melton back out there as a WR...Savion still is not really seen as an option in the passing game. So I'm curious - did we spend a 3rd on the guy to exclusively use him on jet sweeps, end-arounds, and other gadget-plays only? That's... a choice...

Where was Heath?

Never said any of that or implied it

I merely pointed out the fact that he shown he can win games with out Aaron

I agree. However, if you are including the 4th and 1 as a "bad play" by Jacobs, that CF of a play was NOT on him. It was doomed from the start, Philly knew it was coming and then all of our blockers crapped the bed to boot. There isn't an NFL RB present or past, that would have done any better with that play and the fumble was inconsequential since it was 4th down.

I also thought Jacobs ran well, and I don't fault him much for that 4th down play....but at the same time, I think I mentioned it previously...I am pretty sure that the Eagles were more or less satisfied with Jacobs' output against them. They were more than happy to let us continue funneling plays that way.

Heath and Musgrave would have been much better. I didn't like it either. I understand Savion. LaFleur wants to use his guy come hell or high water

Orlovsky to McAfee in podcast today, "GB needs to take the handcuffs off of Jordan Love". Interesting take, that JL is being held back by either MLF fear of his making a mistake, JL's past history of Ints/Fumbles or that JL himself is too cautious and unwilling or not wanting to make a bad throw. If any of that is true, it also begs the questions of does JL actually see the field, see the open man, make his reads quickly and be ready to immediately release the ball to the WR/TE/RB that is open and have confidence to make the throw immediately? He makes the point that prior to end of first half JL's fumble, he failed to make a pass to an open but guarded receiver, because he was "too cautious" or was he told to be "cautious" with the ball. Frankly, if any of this is accurate then everyone should be asking whether JL has the FB IQ, the insight and sight to see the entire field quickly, does he have the judgement to make the throw and the confidence to say to MLF, "I thought it was the best play to make". Does MLF and the OC have full confidence in JL to make the play, change the play and alter the plan? JL may be wrong but hopefully more often right than wrong. Is JL the guy, is he handcuffed by MLF and/or the system OR is he handcuffing himself due to lack of confidence? Oh, the other comment was an OL that continues to be less than good in protection- that plays a huge role in offensive performance and execution. All interesting and to the point of GB QB and this offense making the playoffs.
