Dud: Jeff Hafley for ending his Wednesday press conference with "We are not going to be done, so I will see you guys next week", and then proceeding to give up 25 points in the fourth quarter.

you can overhaul all MLF coaching staff but when the problem is MLF you will continue to have problems , he is a glorified OC but nit a HC as he has shown over and over in the last 3 or 4 seasons
Leaving out any opinions, what I may read from this site or that site, or what this reporter said or what those sports show experts had to say on tv, all that stuff is subjective.
There is only one thing that is not subjective, that cant be argued with or spun in a different way.
Over the last 7 seasons MLF has a good in season record, very good in fact, and thats what many look at. They say this guy wins a lot of games, and that is true he does win alot during the season, but what is also fact is that his playoff record is the worst of any GB HC going back to the lombardi days.
The past 7 seasons he is 3-6 during playoffs and he is lucky to even have that.
If the NFL hadnt expanded the playoff system in 2020 to include a 7th team, with the 1 seed getting a bye,GB would have been in zero playoffs under the old system
These are the facts of his tenure here in GB.

Next season we get both the Texans and Pats on our schedule. Not fun for the offense.
I would be more worried about losing 2 more to the Bears.
We all know at this point who we are all fighting for the division.
It's not the Lions or the Vikings !!!

Every year has surprises. One injury here or there is all it takes.

i saw on the net that MLF was getting an extention, of course is the net and could be a lie, but if is true it will be the biggest mistake to extend this guy , the writing is on the wall based on his oerformance the last five games and the bears blow out ( their main rival) his time is up, any extention Packers will owe money for ever while MLF will continue to fail
I hope Policy is smarter than that and be realistic as to how MLF has been going south the last few years
Yeah I agree that an extension for MLF is a non-starter, or should be, for Ed Policy. MLF is a fine coach and he's won a lot of games, but he calls all the offensive plays, and it gives him little or no time to pay attention to what is happening with the D and STs - and clock management.

The players love him, and that is probably keeping his job safe, for now. I wouldn't give him an extension. Let the last year of his contract play out and then make a decision. This sees reasonable. And with such a talented team (ok, cornerbacks aside.....) it's best not to mess with what the player are accustomed to.

Of course Saturday night, I'm screaming for him to get whacked. In the short term, that's not the best approach.

At some point, with or without MLF, I'd like to see the Packers in a traditional structure - the OC and DC amd STC report to the HC and the HC reports to the GM. MLF gets lost during games because he's trying to do too much with too little time. That's how a delay-of-game penalty is called AFTER a timeout. That one penalty summarizes MLF's clock management, or mismanagement.

Ah, no. The teams under Bart were worse than this. Bart had no business being a HC when we hired him. He was woefully unprepared for that job AND being the GM. This gaff was made even more egregious when we kept him on for 9 years! Yikes.
Yeah I agree Pugger. I love Bart Starr. I think all Packer fans love Bart Starr.

Yet in the many years and seasons between Lombardi and Holmgren, Starr was the most disastrous HC - if for no other reason than the team stood in place (at best) for 9, long years. Adding GM and HC responsibilities is tough for a good manager. Starr, sad to say, was neither. And the Hadl trade. Won't go there.

And it's a shame because he should be remembered for what he did on the field. That 9 years casts a long shadow. Thankfully, it's far down the list of things to remember about Packer history.

I think the disastrous Hadl trade was Dan Devine's doing.

Right. Do what Jerry Jones did with MM.

Dotn know why the delay is getting rid of Matt the flower , specially with the connection to Harbaugh's agent and Harlan, Flower is been selfish not wanting to give up play calling which he can not concentrate on all the other aspects of the team
I said flower is selfish because he does not want to admit that his play calling and HC is affecting his team and if he likes play calling so much , give up the HC coaching position and let someone else do it cause you cant do both at the same time or go some where else as a OC cause it seems that all you care about doing
other major HC started calling plays then they evolve and realized they could not do both, Flower does not want to evolve from play calling to help the team

But you are not, , it may not be perfect but i was just trying to prove a point that makes alot of sense

Maybe just read what you wrote a few times and see if it makes sense to you. Then highlight each single and different point that you are trying to make.

I got this out of it:

- Matt LaFleur is a "flower"

- There is a connection to Harlan and Harbaugh's agent

- Flower is selfish because.....

- Bad play caller, but thinks he is a good one?
- Bad HC
- Can't be a play caller and a HC
- No other major coaches do both
- Flower doesn't evolve

Did I miss anything?

Well, it's a forgone conclusion that Harbaugh is going to the Giants... Also, if we did get rid of Lafluer, Harbaugh is someone I wouldn't want anyway. He didn't win with Larma Jackson, King Henry and a solid, not great, defense.
