Hogging the ball and ramming it down their throats is killer instinct to me.
It was the series where we ran 3 times in a row and then kicked an easy field goal for a 14 point lead. We could have at least tried to go up by 3 scores. He didn't even try. That lacks the killer instinct to me. He's always overly concerned about burning clock. Hell, I'm very happy with the win. Just don't believe in allowing a team to stick around if you don't have to.

I just saw that of Emanuel Wilson's 107 yards rushing today, 94 came after contact.... he was a beast today.
He has quietly been really effective whenever he has been called upon.

It's extremely premature to think about at this point but if things continue this direction I wonder if the team wouldn't consider moving Jacobs? Made more difficult by Lloyd still basically being a total unknown. But who knows...

This is not a sentiment that is only held by "spoiled" or "entitled" packers fans either. I see fans all over the league, media, etc bemoaning what appears to be a lack of killer instinct on our part. OF course I am not complaining too much about the result at the end of the day, but for a coach who has previously voiced a philosophy of "all gas, no brakes" and "scared money don't make money," it's a little bit incongruent, to say the least...

Stud would be coming out of this game with no nes injuries going into Thursday? (Is that accurate??) Hopefully we get (in order) Jacobs? Walker? Golden? Back? What about Reed??

They had run it that entire drive to put them in position for that FG. (Litterally was 4 strait runs of 12, 6, 8 and 11 yards before that "3 strait runs")

Was he "not trying" the previous 4 plays or was he trying to stick with what put them into scoring position to begin with?

He was quite litterally sticking with what was working that drive

The rational logical side of me commends MLF for a solid plan to minimize the game and wear and tear knowing that there is another game in 4 days. The emotional side of me was frustrated with seemingly only 1 play on the play sheet for 1st down and for 3rd and 3. The emotional side of me was winning more on game day because I don't think I've ever been that frustrated watching them play on offense.

Only 'dud' I have is Love's running. Not sure why he didn't just take off and run for 4-5 yards on that one play, seemed like he had some real estate in front of him and not sure what was with that 2-3 yard run to the left. Seems like he has a battle going on in his head for running / not running. Granted, sore shoulder right now playing into that, but 1st example he just runs 4-5 yards out of bounds and other shouldn't have been run if shoulder sore so, I can't make sense of it.

McManus stud- healthy again

Wilson Stud

Defense stud - mainly Dline

Watson stud

Who you got
You nailed it ltf.

McManus really did look 100% healed yesterday. The win was big, and seeing #17 back in form was big as well. GB will need him in the weeks ahead.

I had no idea Wilson was that good. Just one game, but I expect he will get more snaps, which will in turn help Jacobs with the running load. A great, all around win. Best since week 1.

Yeah Fire it was a good game plan, considering the short rest ahead. Nice catch.

And I know the play you're referring to where Love could have picked up 4-5 yards and a 1st down if he had run. He may be a little nicked up, but he very seldom uses his feet. I think he is concerned about injury, maybe too concerned. He has the youth and ability to run. Maybe it's MLF telling him to minimize the runs. IDK but I'd like him to be more opportunistic with running.

I feel the giants win was our turn around game and the launching point for our big division run toward the playoffs. The lions are vulnerable. We can take them. Hard to believe I am saying this but it looks like the bears will be our toughest battle.
Just need MLF to stay on course, run most plays from under center and stay out of hafleys way.

2 Viking Fan Duds:

I guess that maybe the 1st guy could be considered a stud, since he came prepared with the paper bag.

2nd guy...just an angry drunk Viking fan, who's trip back to Minny Ha-Ha got delayed.

Safer in police custody. He could have gotten himself into a really bad situation out in the parking lot

Studs: The Referees

We only saw 4 excepted penalties, for an entire game! 2 for each team! I mean when was the last time you watched a game with only 4 penalties in a quarter, yet alone a whole game!

Some of that is crediting both teams for playing a pretty clean and mistake free game, but I think we also saw a crew of refs that just decided to let some things go. I saw Parsons get dragged down a couple of times, no flags. I saw Viking defenders get held as well.

That was my kind of game from an officiating standpoint. I don't even think we had a challenge or any extended review process.

We have officially reached the point where we can win against a divisional opponent by three scores, in November, give up less than 200 yards total yards on us, multiple TOs, 5 for 7 scoring on drives that mattered................AND many fans would literally today if it were them have MLF pack his bags.

I am truly at a point of not understanding it at all anymore...

I am hopeful that you are not referring to me. I am capable of criticizing without it meaning to get rid of him. If that was what I wanted; I would have said so. And I have never said that.

The Bears have the better record, but I still believe our biggest battle for the division will be with the *****.

It's all fair to discuss. If I were to guess, I would guess that he was told not to scramble unless absolutely necessary. The last few weeks he has taken some big hits while scrambling, including getting injured just one week ago. Even if MLF didn't pull back on the reins, I'm sure that the little man on Jordan's shoulder whispered "restraint" into his ear. I don't begrudge him at all.

It's funny. Only a couple of years ago I argued with folks on here that the Lions were going to be the division leaders. It was met with mostly ridicule. Now that the Lions have been there a few years, I'm not going to predict their demise. They are still a good team and just had a solid win yesterday, but like Ivan Drago in Rocky IV, has shown this season that they are not a machine. They are men that are having their own struggles.

The Bears now have Ben Johnson at coach. He seems to be the fire glowing behind these teams. The Bears are starting to play old-time Bears defense again and Caleb Williams and all of their skill positions are finally being used correctly. I don't think that they will win the division this year, but they will be right there and competing in each game until the end.

The Bears may be better than the Lions at this point. Strong arguments can be made for either team, which illustrates the point.

I didn't have any specific person her citing that for. It's more a culmination of the mindsets and expressions shared after and/or during every game across all Packers platforms.

That's good advice. Hafley is a terrific DC and will likely be gone next year for a HC gig. Take advantage of his creative and effective game planning - he gets a lot out of the talent he has, something that has not been the case for the offense. (Gluten should also be grooming one of Hafley's assistants to take his place.)

The Lions look vulnerable. They would have lost to the Giants yesterday had the Giants taken a FG for a 6 point lead with 3 minutes left. A 2-8 team is going to gamble and go for a win, so I don't fault them. Strangely, with Hutchinson back and absent the huge injury problem they had last year, the Lions are not playing nearly as well as last year.

The Thanksgiving game will tell us a lot about where GB is headed. It should be a road win if they play like they played against the queens.

And yeah, the Bears have to be taken seriously. They aren't as talented as the Packers but Johnson has them playing with intensity and energy. Most important, they win close games.

Agreed. For a big guy, Love is prone to injury from hits other QBs would brush off. So yeah, discretion is the better part of valor in his case.

STUDS

Luke "I'm NOT DEAD" Musgrave
- Folks FINALLY. First full length game where he blocked like he did for the Beavers back in College. Many forget that in college while lethal threat his team ran a run heavy scheme and he blocked the vast majority of the time. FINALLY he put technique, effort and his agility to work and looked not just decent but GOOD!!

Emanuel Wilson - Dude can absolutely be that fill in RB1 for a team. Now could he do this for a full season....who knows, but dude could not be stopped Sunday.

Isaiah McDuffie - BEST GAME OF HIS NFL CAREER. Remove the INT from this entirely and his assignment strong coverage skills against the pass caused headaches...he was blitzing...he was stuffing the run...he was reading outside runs incredibly well....put simply like I've said before many in house have told me McDuffie is their most intellligent LB and might be the highest football IQ on the defensive side overall - his physical limitations is his only hurdle.

DUDS

Devonte Wyatt - I suspect he is not healthy yet...unless a pin ears back and try to get to QB situation...he wasn't worth a lot.

Belton/Morgan - I unlike many it seems didn't see great things at RG regardless of who was there.

MLF - I cannot complain too much, honestly he knew his team was in control, stayed in control and never let up his grip on their neck.....BUT JUST SNAP THE THING AND BE DONE.

So is it your belief that the majority of Packer fans (across all "platforms" as you say), right now, would like to see MLF fired?

His extension next year (or not) will certainly be affected by how well the team does this year. But even if they fall short of a deep playoff run and SB appearance, I don't think it's a given that he would get whacked. But there's a new sheriff in Policy. He'll be determined to make this his team.

No, just the noisy ones that typically once you get talking to them couldn't tell you even half the guys that are playing in expiring contracts or discuss basic performance levels beyond just looking at yards or sacks...

I think the "MLF should pack his bags crowd" was born out of the frustration they felt over his decision making process that cost us several games we should have won. So they were right to feel frustrated.
Speaking for myself I always felt MLF was not capable enough to call plays and manage the overall game with all that entails. The mind boggling losses to lesser teams bear that out.
Hopefully he has come to terms with his own short comings and now can become the leader we need going forward.
