Ya coaching I ALWAYS give my Pats the check mark. I think BB is the best coach in the game, but I am biased lol.

So my unexpected hero of the game? Tim Wright 10 catches 145 yrds 2 TD , all the attention on Gronk the 2nd TE is wide open. But hey I'm a pats fan lol.

I'm not biased and I agree with you.

I'll see your Tim Wright and raise you Quarless and Adams who between the two of them combined get very similar numbers.

This game is going be awesome!! For once fans I can talk football with and not get (our team is awesome, you never faced a (insert whatever they are good at) like ours before.

I feel this is a potential SB Preview (barring no major injuries to either team)

Brady has never had to outduel Rodgers before. Just another piece of trivia I stumbled across.

Has Brady ever played against the packers in lambo? And this game comes down I think to secondary play, whose DB will force the other teams QB to hang onto that ball for that split second longer to cause a sack or miss throw.

Yes, 8 yrs ago.
Favre started and Rodgers came in after the game was out of reach. If I remember correctly, Rodgers got hurt??...

Interesting tidbit I just learned. The trade that got the Pack Mathews netted the Pats Gronk and Edelman. A trade that was a win/win for both teams!

Bookies set the initial line based on betters' expectations; the betters then move it. A bookie's object is to get equal sums wagered on both sides of the proposition and profit from the vigorish.

While some big money gamblers can move the line, most of the money wagered and the primary basis for the line is set by guys like those in your fantasy league (or on this board). A substantial amount of money bet in Vegas comes from guys with a back table at the neighborhood bar (metaphorically speaking), laying off some bets from Joe Lunchpail as insurance.

The line is only as good as the wisdom of the crowd. There's a spotty track record for you.

A note about Tim Wright. His 6 TD receptions in the last 7 games, about which much has been made, have gone for 17, 1, 1, 2, 4 and 8 yards. He averages under 10 yds. per catch. He's not going to light anybody up. He's one component in the multiple tool, **** and dunk, red-zone-effective offense New England is running.

Hard right, I think Wright coukd make a difference. He is very sure handed and reliable, and he did very well in TB when he was targeted by their below avg QB's. Besides I said my surprise lol I could be dead wrong, and being married I usually am lol.

Good point!......Wright's TD's speak much more to the attention which opponents are giving Gronk in the red zone. Not only have Wright's TD's been for very short yardage, but he has been uncovered on most of them.

I'm guessing you get a quite a few 'optimistic' rainbow awards on your posts!

People make the mistake of looking for gaudy stats when rating a defense or front 7 - this is the most solid i've seen this Patriots defense look in years - the back 4 and the front 7 work in concert - coverage helps pressure and vice versa - you can't just isolate the front 7 and dismiss them.

Not to say that the Packers 'throwing up 50' is impossible - just very unlikely.

Well averaging almost 44 points a game at home this season. I don't think I am jumping out on a limb saying were gonna score points against the Patriots "gimmick defense".

"Gimmick " defense? Wow that's insulting! They have the deepest CB probably in the NFL a monster of a NT an all pro safety in McCourty. The Pats D have limited 2 of the top scoring O to an average of 20.5 points but ya they get that from gimmicks.

Let me guess when your team loses it's all because the refs "screwed" them. Sigh

No team outside of New England has better depth at the CB position and have kept top offenses out of the endzone with .. no gimmick at all, the REAL DEAL. Revis Island, Browner, McCourty, Hightower, Ayers, Wilfork, Chung, Collins, Ninkovich, Ryans, etc.. take your pick.. And by far the most hands on and physical secondary in the league.. harrass receivers, yes, get physical with receivers, yes, reroute receivers, YES

Your not going to get pressure with just Jones, Jones, Wilfork, Ninkovich so your gonna get desperate and bring others and Rodgers will pick it apart. I will say it one more time . If you can't come into Lambeau and disrupt with 4 guys upfront you have almost "NO CHANCE".

Have fun trying to keep up cause Brady gonna need a career day.

You know whats funny is everyone is talking about your db's and I love it. We got some pretty good DB's too. In fact were tied for 2nd in the league in interceptions.

Wow! First if Chandler Jones was playing he live in the packers backfield. Second I'll take BB Defensive brain over your homer glasses any day. I mean I know we are facing the #1 offense oops nope that was 2 weeks ago in their house and held to 20 points. Oh wait the #1 ranked D nope that was last week scored 34 and could have been more.

So please STOP with the homerism both teams are great but rigers(and Brady) are capable having a crap game too so sit back and talk football.

Remember how you got "boat raced" out of Kansas City? This could be worse.

Why the hostility? I LOVE having opponent fans discussing pros/cons of their team and sharing info... no need (IMHO) to trash talk.

Blocking posters: bottom of their avatar there's a "Put Me On Ignore" to click on...
