Anyone who remembers me the last 20 years back to ESPN board and yahoo board:) they know I'm a DT/NT fan, and 310 pound DEs. You know the blueprint being Reggie White/ Pickett/ gravedigger/ and Sean Jones. Cullen jenkens type DEs and Kris Jenkins type DTs. 4 big fast strong guys wrecking chit every down makes everyone's job on the defense easier..

You can't argue with parsons though. The guy not only splits double teams, making the OT slide right off, then chases down those fast guys after?!?! Like huh? How-wha? Honestly never seen nothing like it I don't think. Every down that dude is rushing like he is on fire. Like he just seen bigfoot. Which brings up a good question.

Who wins in a fight?
Parsons > bigfoot
?
Now you look for the edge rushers mixed with run stoppers. Hard to have both. Even in the Reggie and Gilbert days there were not these road runners at QB. Tarkenton was kind of the first. Michael Vick set the modern tone. Today, most can run.

We were indeed gassed. And part of that was due to a 3 and out to open the second half followed by a quick TD drive and then another 3 and out. The Bear drives were not short quick ones especially in the second half. One was 17 plays.
Another problem was the Bears got decent yardage on first downs. It is easier to covert 2nd/3rd and short so it was easier for them to sustain drives and wear out our D in the second half.

Bears have a good run blocking OL and a good running game. We managed to squelch it for awhile, but they started to take over in the second half. And Williams may not be the best passer, but he is good on his feet and slippery to try to sack. Helps when the refs allow holding though.

That is why you must avoid 3 and outs against a team like that.

You said it. Not having LVN and Wyatt in there hurt our run D. And Williams is a slippery SOB. How he got out of a couple of sacks last Sunday was unreal.
