StUds: Doubs, Jacobs, Wilson, Golden, McManus ( block not his fault)

Duds: Defense...terrible 2nd half. Sts, they just suck. Overtime play calling, you play to win...not tie.. Lafleur!!! There was no urgency in overtime..score a TD..win game!
Wyatt goes out along with Hobbs. That hurt. But Dallas made some great plays and did almost whatever they chose.

You'd like perfection every snap...got it.

Sorry I'm not usually this bitey but Love was near perfection last night...putting any of that loss on him in any capacity, even 1%, is just something I can not even fathom.
Show the comment I made that says I expect perfection on every snap. You won't find it. You're overreacting Ty. C'mon man.

I don't think it's possible to look at Love's play last night and call it "unflappable". And no matter how well he played, anything other than a win is a failure, especially for this team.

So what was the outcome of the game then, in your opinion? A moral victory because Love played mostly well? There are no moral victories in sports.

I'll leave it at that.

I admitted I am being atypical for me - I know you didn't directly state it HeyJoe

Love is special on the move...I would love to see three-six more purposeful boots or roll outs a game.
One thing I'd like to see more, faking action in one direction and having Love run a naked bootleg to the other side. Love does make things happen when he's on the move.

If the defense, special teams and O-Line all play better, we win that game walking away. Love had a great night, especially given that his O-line couldn't block during most of it.

Yeah it's kinda easy to forget that Dallas just played very well last night. The Packers assisted in that, but the Cowboys played well, and certainly capitalized on GB mistakes.

Sorry didn't respond to the two posed questions above.

I broke down just how unflappable he was....dude was LIGHTS out on crucial third and fourth downs, didn't turn the ball over, completed over 70% of his passes DESPITE having pressure in his lap at times immediately and having to have a few throwaways due to this. The dude was dynamite. DYNAMITE.

As for the game, offensively I feel great. Yes, one can nitpick the two rush calls up the gut by MLF right at the end as dumb, one I'll forgive...but two was asinine. However the offense is rolling folks, Doubs straight up cooking DBs with his release package...Savion illustrating a weapon and Golden and Kraft also being clutch...not to mention Jacobs and Wilson were a tandem to be dealt with.

This loss is defense sucking and ST's continuing to suck in big ways a few times a game (block, terrible coverage two crucial kick offs and our returning plan just autrocious).

I agree that he played well on probably 99% of the snaps. I loved that creative lateral to Jacobs that got them to the Dallas line.

But I'm having a hard time reconciling playing well and ending up in a tie, or losing. Love still has a nasty tendency to forget where he is in the game, and who is around him.

I'd just like to see him clean up this part of his game. It happens to all QBs, just happens a bit too much with Love.

Putting that aside - The defense, the entire defense, failed to show up. You could see the Cowboys either double-teaming or running plays away from Parsons - but where were Gary, LVN, Cooper? I never expected to see that from this defense against an average team.

I loved the big time Parson's sack in OT, but that was about it.
Defense played well until the blocked PAT. And then the roof fell in.

How do you and I see that, but MLF doesn't seem to? I am not much of an X and O's guy, but this one is so fricking obvious to me.

Every coach has tendencies and what they're comfortable with...BUT also you gotta remember executing purposeful designed roll outs do have to be executed along the OL well...and let's be honest, no one in the US that was a Packer fan had trust in that OL last night.

He will have to do that especially against better defenses.

True statement and exactly why MLF needs to roll him out more. Opposing DC's know this tendency and are able to do exactly what the Cowboys did last night. Tell his front 4 to just pin their ears back, push straight ahead and collapse the pocket. You have to at least keep them honest and roll Love out more.

Also on that note, it killed the Packers running game, anytime they tried a draw up the middle. Hard to run through 9 bodies that are all pushed behind the LOS.

He was forced to hold serve. Had our D played like it did in the first 3 weeks he does not have to make so many big plays.
On the other hand, it shows that when our D is playing well; we don't have to go into a shell. We could still be aggressive.

NBD. We're all flustered with the outcome of the game.
I am not happy with the outcome but I had picked Dallas to win this one in their building. So the tie is not so painful. It is the Cleveland loss that really hurts. We gave that one away. In this game Dallas had to earn it and they did.

I wonder: Do you think there are coaches in the NFL who would have gone for the win on that last play, just out of principal?

If the season and standings dictated it they would. But 4th and 14 is not realistic. If they were only 5 or 6 yards then maybe against a poor defense.

Agree and it also serves another purpose, it wears down the opposing D. Dallas's long drives last night put their defensive players on the bench, giving them plenty of time to rest. Meanwhile, our defense looked gassed at times.

Honestly that game doesn't make it to OT if Dan is coaching...real good chance we either lose or win in regulation because he is just mashing the gas.
In fact where we stopped Dallas at the 4 is probably a Campbell go for it.

Agree. I can't tell you how many times I said to myself; "What would Campbell do in this situation?" Usually, it was the exact opposite of what MLF decided to do.

We saw this kind of coaching from Mike McCarthy too often. Conservative and playing in fear of the other team.
