You know that teams aren't allowed to have six eligible receivers on the field, don't you???
Yup that's why I said toung in cheek that no other team has a 6 receiver set. Theoretical, a team could use a 5 receiver set with an empty backfield. It was used by BB two years ago. What would happen if the qb threw a backwards pass to a receiver who then threw the ball to the qb who went out for a pass. Would the qb be considered the 6th receiver? And the play be disqualified?

Based on what. 7 people are on the line with only the ends eligible. Any four off the line (in the backfield) are eligible. Actual positions they line up in don't matter.

In that case the qb is eligible and in theory you could have a set where six guys can catch a pass. Let's say the Packets run a set with the five o lineman and The two outside wr's on the line. Three other receivers could line up in slot positions even if one played a quasi TE position slightly behind a tackle. Use a backwards pass to a wr and have hin fire the ball to the qb. That's a six "receiver" situation.

Yep, like it is every play. You are stuck on the labels of the receivers. Call two RBs and 1 a TE. What changes? Packers ran a 5 WR set in 2011. Staple part of the offense that season. Never was AR ineligible to catch a pass.
