McGinn's article on Raih is very good: http://www.jsonline.com/sports/pack...fensive-line-coach-b99673367z1-369558121.html

He seems to be a good person interested in learning. So I don't expect any real improvement in the offensive line next year--regardless of any new player additions. Campen has proven through the years he can take players and mold them into an average unit, at best--with most years being below average. Apparently MM thinks there things other than performance that are more important to the team.

Something I didn’t realize until I read this article is Holmgren never fired an assistant coach in his 7 years as Packers HC. By contrast according to this article McCarthy just fired, forced to retire, or didn’t renew the contract of his 15th assistant coach going into his 11th season. This contradicts the notion that McCarthy is stubborn regarding retaining staff. There is something to be said for continuity at the top of the organization and the coaching staff, but there’s also the concern about – at least IMO – that the coaching staff can get stale with the players tuning them out. I really don’t think they’re there yet but it is a legitimate concern going forward.

From Peter King's MMQB :

http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2016/02/21/...fl-draft-picks-combine-preview?xid=nl_siextra

“If you watch the Super Bowl, the team that actually got to the quarterback, they won the Super Bowl. The team that protected their quarterback, they won the Super Bowl. So it is about the lines, and protecting the quarterback and keeping him upright so he can get the ball to the guys who run and catch.”

—New Tennessee GM Jon Robinson, at a Titans event for fans in Nashville last week, on the prospect of trading or keeping the No. 1 overall pick in the April draft.

Jon Robinson gets it. Vince Lombardi got it. Whomever controls the LOS wins.

There are other ways to win the Lombardi Trophy as well. Out of the last 10 Super Bowl champions only two of those teams led the league in sacks and only one of them in sacks allowed. On the other hand four of those defense finished out of the top 1o in sacks as well as five offensive lines in sacks allowed.
