I certainly hope they win, because I'll be sitting in the stands. The Packers have yet to lose a game that I've attended, including the Super Bowl last year. I hope the streak holds up! Go Pack Go!!!

Now to prep for a weekend of partying, fun and Green and Gold!

Thanks Croak!

It's only about 10 games that I've made, but so far it's holding up. I only wish that I wasn't overseas so much, or I would attend more.

In the end, win or lose, a weekend in Green Bay for a Packers game is better than just about anything that I know of. With the game on Monday night, it gives me even more time to have fun and find some great things to do. I'm always up for new suggestions.

Go Pack Go!!

Can we do it? Sweep the Vikings!!!!!

Now that we have film on Ponder I don't see a problem for the Packers what so ever, they can shut down AP they have done it before but I need to see more from our defense, Aaron Rodgers will kill it as always with yet another 3 touchdown game.

I hate the Vikings more than I do the Bears, or at least I grew up hating them in the 90's back when the Bears were terrible.

Minnesota has never been this bad I think.
Google the LES STECKEL era for the Vikings. Those were a few great years, for us Viking-haters.
I went to 3 straight Packer@Metrodome games in the mid-90's.
All Packer losses, all late in the game on some garbage fluke crap.

The losses hurt. The records hurt. But the worst part of all of it was the obnoxious, petty, jealous grape ape fans!
Fairweather fans like NO OTHER city in America. They never sold out games other than ours, until their 15-1 1998 season with Randy Moss.... still, they didn't start selling out until they were about 7-0 that year.

I love some Viking fans (some of my best friends), but overall, that state and their "fanbase" is pretty pathetic.

Packers 56
Vikings 0

Our defense is pissed off right now and they set a goal of pitching a SHUTOUT.
They bottle up Peterson like we did to Forte, and we pick off 3 Ponder passes like we did to Rivers, and again, two of them are Pick-6's.

Cobb also adds a punt return for a TD. That's 21 points.
Rodgers throws just another 4-ho-hum touchdowns. That equals 49.
And Jarrett Bush pops one out of the Viking kick returner (they will return a lot of kickoffs Monday) and scoops it up for a return TD.

This isn't slanted at all is it? Would it be the same as having football games in Milwaukee to garnish attention to Packer football games? I'll make a deal with you. Stop the Sconnies from crossing our border every day to find work in our state (while they pay Wisconsin taxes) and I'll make sure the Viking "fanbase" steps it up a lil.....k?

The Brewers are done (pathetic franchise with no championships), The Badgers are going to the Insight.com bowl, and Wisconsin has no hockey. Outside of your Packers your state has nothing...nothing but a bunch of drunk, ******, Jeffrey Dahmer looking hicks who commute to our state every day for a better life.

And if you want to talk about the past, lets not talk about the 2 decades (70's & 80's) your beloved football team disappeared from the NFL.

They can't let Ponder punk them like he did in the first meeting. The Pack might have to resign themselves to the fact that AP is probably going to run all over them so they should concentrate on stopping Ponder and find some way to garner an effective pass rush. I would imagine with the temperature dropping, Starks and Grant are gonna be key now and it takes a load off of Aaron if those two can be solid. Hopefully the Pack pulls this out.

What? Did you say something there?
I grew up in Minnesota, as a Twins fan in the 80's & 90's, as well as North Stars (whoops, they moved), and Timberwolves, and Golden Gophers. The only Minnesota team I hate is the Vikings.

I don't like the Badgers, and am neutral on the Brewers.

Did you try and say something about Minnesota vs Wisconsin just there?

Here's a newsbreaker for you: Minnesota sports IS A DISGRACE.
Your top team is the Purple. It's a Vikings state. And they still suck. Everyone else in this division is a playoff team right now. Except your grape apes. That team is an embarrassment, and they should follow the Stars who fled the state to Dallas, and the Lakers who fled to Los Angeles.

Then you have the Timberpuppies. Worst franchise in the NBA, a joke.
How bout those Twinkies this year? Pathetic. Leading HR hitter had about 8 homers.
They haven't won a playoff series since Kirby Puckett led them in 1991, 20 years ago.
How bout those Golden Gophers? Horrible football team (they can only dream of being in any bowl game like the Insight.com Bowl), terrible basketball program (and Tubby Smith is dirty, yet still loses)... and even the Gophers hockey program has become a joke.

At least you have the Vikings...... wait, they've won how many Super Bowls again?
They haven't even BEEN TO a Super Bowl since the 1970's for God's sake.
LOSER CITY.

as another person that is from minnesota this is a disgrace. quit *****in about how wisconsin sports are infinitely better than minnesota sports. the vikings will be terrible for the next 10 years, unless they trade peterson for some top end talent. the twins suck, and last time i checked the brewers were in the nlcs. The gophers, HA! arguably the worst college football program in the FBS, so by saying that the badgers will only make the lowly insight bowl is stupid, because the gophers would be ecstatic to have a shot at any bowl game. wisconsin hockey has 6 ncaa championships in their history while the gophs only have 5. so think twice before you take your ignorant bias into a packer fan forum

It all starts with a pass rush. Anyone know when Neal will be ready to play?

beat writers say they only saw him take part in drills to the side of practice but that he hasn't been ruled out to play Monday...gut feeling says we won't see him for a couple weeks though :( he MUST be 100% for the playoffs...I almost feel like our fate rests on him

hopefully we make Ponder Ponder his decision to suit up against the best team in the league. Rodgers will have his usual field day with their lackluster group of DBs . Hopefully we can contain AP enough to not single handedly beat us and no give up 5-7 big plays in the back end of our D. Should win handily 34-21
I predict a similar score, that's pretty crazy. I have the Pack winning 38 to 21 ... at this point in the season, the Packers can only really beat themselves. It's a simple philosophy, just contain on D.

OK folks, I can't shake this nagging eery feeling, so I'm changing my prediction; 27-24 Vikings. Let the tomatoes fly.

Go to College Sports forum threads to see my reaction to Derp's comment on the Badgers under thread title Badgers vs Gophers.

And now, back to discussing Packers vs Vikings on MNF.

Here is a tidbit... When Ponder started the game against the Packers he didn't refer to the wrist band for the plays. He knows the playbook and took the time to learn it unlike McNabb. Ponder works very hard throughout the week studying film, watching defensive tendencies, and how the coverage rotates. I'm sure other quarterbacks work hard, but coaches, players and his college coaches have all chimed in that he has a Manning-Brady type of attitude when it comes to properly preparing for an opponent and bettering himself as a player. Hmmmm... sounds a lot like how Aaron Rodgers prepares himself.

I'm hoping the Packers take him lightly... even if they don't, Ponder will come out firing. This is an upset in the making.

You got that right, Val, if the Vikings win we will all be upset.

Seriously, I think you make a great point there. I believe that one of the things that have contributed to Rodgers doing as well as he has is his commitment to preparation. I think the off-the-field preparation is often highly underrated. If Ponder is that type of student of the game (and of his opponents) things may bode well for Viking fans (and not so well for their opponents).
