...I know they didn't and I'm not trying to bring any negative vibes here. I think it's great they won and I love the matchup in the Super Bowl.

But listening to Bears fans before and after is amusing. They were sure they would beat the Packers...and now, I'd say 60-80% of fans are just crucifying Cutler. Some aren't giving the Packers credit saying they "played very average" to win.

So if the Packers would have lost, would the grievances include...Rodgers not playing a great game...the defense not getting to Hanie enough...MM with bad playcalling in the 3rd quarter...

I know it's probably not worth getting into. I know that I still go back on games the Saints won and wonder if it went the other way. It's one way I can reflect on things and be more thankful.

I was hoping at 14-0 the packers would just slay the bears, but they did let them come back, especially against a 3rd string quarterback.

On a side note, I think the Bears would have been slaughtered by the Steelers in the SB had they found a way to win that game. the pack should make it a very good game.

I am seeing a division in bears fans where there is a meatball faction and there is an embarrassed by the meatballs faction. I think we will hear far less about the 85 bears from now on. That is probably the most overdone and annoying crap ever. I never, ever hear people talk about the 96 packers like that nor do I hear the fans of any team hash over a former super bowl team like that. Move on already people. The actual players on the 72 dolphins are annoying like this, but you never hear it from the fans really.

I think MM would be crucified and Capers for not having a good enough game plan/protection for Rodgers. Fans love the players so I think MM would take the heat.

Yeah, Bear fans need to give 1985 a rest already. Ditka won you a SB, one!!!! Yet you revere him more than Halas seems like who won you 8 Championships. You don't see GB fans talking about Holmgren the way Bear fans talk about Ditka.

Da Bears........Da Bears.......Da Bears.......Ditka.........Ditka..........Ditka.......Da Bears...... <----Thought process of meatball Bear fans.

7thfloor makes a good point about the division of fans; i agree about the ditka stuff, too. the bears should've been a dynasty and didn't win another SB after that year. bought into their own hype.

Bleh.

Their QB was ****** and they didn't have receivers. IMHO the most overrated team of all time, the 85 bears.

And Lovie is trying the same formula again basically. Although he did copy MM by bringing in a specialist to run the offense like we brought in Capers for D.

Although I totally despise the Bears, I must respectfully disagree.

The Ravens had a great defense when they won the SB but had even less than the 85 Bears did on offense.

Bears at least had a HOF RB in Walter Payton.

But still..........:chisux:

Believe me, it will be just as bad if you guys lose in the Superbowl. It doesn't matter how good you feel about winning the NFC, if you lose in the Superbowl its a really horrible feeling no matter how you slice it. I know, being a Vikings fan I have had to weather several Superbowl losses, and there was absolutely no comfort whatsoever making it there.

I'm hoping the Steelers fans are the ones feeling trashed on Superbowl Sunday.

Granted, it would be disappointing no doubt.

However, I can't see Packers fans burning their jerseys or making death threats. At least not the ones I know.

Pack fans are not Bears fans........not by a LONG shot.

i've never been a viking fan or anything but i have felt bad for true viking fans this year. couldn't get much worse than it did with everything falling apart, getting so close again last year.

Meh...I really did not expect Favre to do much this year. When Rice was injured right out of the box, I knew we were in real trouble. We need to draft a QB. Maybe we can begin rebuilding this year, or maybe the Vikes will grab a free agent.

Believe me, it was worse losing every Superbowl. Even though it has been quite some time since they have gone to one, I painfully remember them. There's always next year.
