I don’t follow Milwaukee day to day etc. but appreciate the insight in here. I just looked and I had no idea they led the league so far in Wins. That’s a great setup for postseason.

We need to finish that 2018? Season where the Bucks, Brewers Packers all made Postseason for the very first time! This time we need a Championship or Three! Let’s do This!

Enjoying my time in La Crosse!

I see the Crew are up 5 games. I thought it was 4 yesterday and the Cubs won too?
The Brewers have a 5 game lead over the Cubs, not counting today's (Sunday, Aug 10) games. The Cubs won yesterday, so the Brewers must have been 5 ahead to begin yesterday as well.

But I thought it was a 4-game lead yesterday as well. Oh well, I'll take it. (St. Louis did shut out the Cubs Friday night while the Brewer's won. I must have not seen that score.)

The neighborhood around Am Fam Field was underwater today, including half the parking lot and all but two streets into the stadium, but the field was in good shape so they decided to play. 42,000 fans managed to find their way into the stadium.

The Mets had a 5-0 lead in the 4th, but the Crew clawed back to win 7-6 on a solo homer by Isaac Collins in the bottom of the 9th. Prester gave up 6 earned runs before giving way to Hall with 1 batter out in the 5th.

Milwaukee is now 29 games over .500, at 73-44 and .624. 37-13 in their last 50, .740 ball since June 10th.

Isn't that something? I still do not like the Mets. Or the Cards. Or the Cubs. Or the Dogers. Just sayin'

Wow I'm amazed that 42,000 people attended the game..The real number is smaller if all ticket sales are counted as in attendance. Even so, with one road in, one road out and half of the parking lot submerged, this is amazing.

Meanwhile....the Cubbies lost again. They had the tying run on 1st in the 9th, with no outs. Pinch runner Jon Berti had 2nd base stolen, but he was wearing one of those sliding mittens and his hand came off the base (couldn't grip it) and BOOM....tagged out!

After that, the Cubbies got 2 more hits, but never scored. I LOVE it!

74-44, 30 games over 500, 10 in a row, .727, 6 1/2 up on the Cubs.

What a season....

Another quirky number... if they play just .523 ball the rest of the season (23-21), they'll finish 97-65 - the best record in the history of their franchise.

2500 odds on fanatics when I bet

Now at 1400
Turns out, you were much smarter than me!

2 weeks later, I am a firm believer that this team just might do it!

It is one thing to beat up on the basement dwellers, but the Brewers have been beating some good teams in the last month. I don't think it is just the wins either, it is the way that they have been doing it. They have been pretty dominant in all phases of the game.

This is the time of year that I normally become hyper-focused on the Packers. However, in the last month my interest in the Brewers has totally taken over and bypassed my Packer interest. Hell, I even forgot that the Packers were playing a preseason game on Sat. night.

The Crew lost their best player, Jackson Chourio, on July 30, and haven't lost a game since - 11-0 with him out, and they're expecting him back soon.

MLB.com's Adam McCalvy shared that the young outfielder is running at 75 percent and could begin a rehab assignment in late August.

In these last 11 games without Chourio, Milwaukee has shelled its opponents - 91 runs scored in 11 games, 34 runs allowed.

Neck and neck with Chicago a couple of weeks ago, up 7.5 games tonight. Halfway through August; how many more weeks will it take before the rest of the league wakes up and says, "hey, maybe they're pretty good after all"?

Another amazing thing about this streak for the Brewers, they have been doing it without one of their best players, Jackson Chourio.

Throw in getting him, The Miz, Rhys Hoskins and Jake Bauers all back from injury and just, WOW!

Not sure if they will bring both Hoskins and Bauers back though. With Andrew Vaughn playing so well at 1B, the infield is already pretty stacked. Vaughn can play LF though, so it just gives the Brewers a lot more options, as does the DH rule. Teams can expand from 26 to 28 players on Sept. 1, so that might make it possible to bring.

At least for me, the hard part is not projecting to the playoffs. That's hard to do right noe.
Hard for all of us. Not making the playoffs in 2017,18, and 22 were hard pills to swallow. At the beginning of those seasons we were convinced we would be there. Now, not so much.
