Tough way to end your Playoffs, after such a great regular season. I feel for all you guys.
I think we all knew after the Cubs took 'em to 5 games that it wasn't gonna be pretty. 97 wins, a Divisional championship AND bouncing the Cubs and Craig ... ya know, it's more than we expected before the season. Even in "Angel's in the Outfield", Championships have to be won on the field, right? Hey, it can happen.

I never thought we'd win this series but to not even be competitive was downright embarrassing. The pitching wasn't terrible but I'm almost afraid to look up what the hitting percentage of the entire team was these last 4 games. What a time for the bats to go silent. Yikes.

I hate watching batters swing as the ball bounces before it gets to the plate. Well, if it's the team I want. I used to hate watching Tommy John pitch.

What, besides not being able to hit, makes you believe they went away from the way the played all the rest of the season?
just the facts....just the facts...milw beat them all year and then....

"sir can I have another?" "sir can I have another?""sir can I have another?" (animal house connection)
when was the last fooking time they LOST 4 games in a row?!

.118, the lowest average in the history of MLB for a series of 3 or more games.

Edit: and the ERA of the Dodgers pitching staff was 0.63.

Well... that is kind of a big one, just in and of itself...

I haven't followed baseball for maybe 30 years or so. But I watched some of this series since the Brewers were in it.
What I was amazed at though, was Shoshei Othani. A big Japanese guy who is a pitching and hitting machine. I've never known exactly why most pitchers couldn't hit that well. Specialization, I suppose. But wow, I've never seen anything like him. Sounds like this guy could end up being the greatest baseball player of all time.

I've been thinking the same thing... he just turned 31, and he's still got a number of seasons ahead of him.

That was an awful series to watch. The Brewers started slow and just couldn’t recover at all. I don’t know what’s worse, going out in Game 7 like 1982 (letting it slip through your fingers)
or Just getting whooped 0-4 this year before getting your hopes up.

If you guys haven’t seen it yet, watch that documentary about the 1982 season it’s very compelling. You just feel for those guys.. but the way it ended was amazing. The fashion that Milwaukee welcomed them home was truly inspirational. Absolutely LOVED what that city did for them!
