I've been posting this a bit scattered throughout the season, but thought it would be good to get all in one place. Been looking at Love's overall EPA and efficiency stats.
Currently Love is comfortably first in the league in EPA and adjusted EPA per play.
For regular EPA/play he's at 0.307, second is Drake Maye at 0.269
In adjusted EPA/play, Love is at 0.312 and second is Darnold at 0.283
He is 6th in passing success rate (plays with an EPA of >0) and raw passing rate
Additionally, he is 3rd in CPOE (completion percentage over expected), and all that put together has him 3rd in EPA+CPOE per play (Maye 0.200, Darnold 0.199, Love 0.189)
Going back throughout the season:
Love didn't have enough passing reps to clear the minimum threshold for rankings until Week 4.
At that time he immediately entered the rankings at 1st in EPA+CPOE, 1st in adjusted EPA/play, 2nd in EPA/play, 3rd in CPOE.
Week 5: 2nd in EPA+CPOE, 2nd in adjusted EPA, 3rd in EPA, 4th in CPOE
Week 6: 2nd in EPA+CPOE, 2nd in adjusted EPA, 2nd in EPA, 5th in CPOE
Week 7: 2nd in EPA+CPOE, 1st in adjusted EPA, 3rd in EPA, 5th in CPOE
Week 8: 2nd in EPA+CPOE, 1st in adjusted EPA, 1st in EPA, 5th in CPOE
Week 9: 3rd in EPA+CPOE, 2nd in adjusted EPA, 2nd in EPA, 4th in CPOE
Week 10: 4th in EPA+CPOE, 2nd in adjusted EPA, 2nd in EPA, 4th in CPOE
Week 11: 3rd in EPA+CPOE, 1st in adjusted EPA, 1st in EPA, 3rd in CPOE
Week 12: 3rd in EPA+CPOE, 1st in adjusted EPA, 1st in EPA, 3rd in CPOE
In short, on a per-play basis Love has pretty much been a top-5 QB all year long at worst. And truthfully if we're just looking per-play he's arguably been top 3 (and he's not #3)
