If we can 2 to 3 of that list back next weekend, then sprinkle in 1-2 more the following week for our Arizona game, that would be huge.
Hate to say that since this is a reeling Bengals team the Packers may not activate all of the players they could. They may error on the safe side although that it can backfire when you underestimate any opponent. Who knows? Guys that just got to get PT may be surprised that they can still get more of it.

I bet it takes another month for 50% plus...he wont play this week. So maybe something like 10 snaps added each week or so till he gets there. Im not worried about the WR right now, But the OL play will determine how far this offense goes.
That is our sore spot although the numbers against Dallas were not too bad.

Luckily for us, Watson is more of a go-deep WR (although is surprisingly good running other routes). Without as much change in direction in his game, compared to a Jayden Reed, he can likely get closer to 100% faster than some. However, I bet that we won't see a 100% healthy Watson until the 2026 season. I'll just hope for occasional contributions this year.

Watson's greatest risk is when blocking - which many forget he is not only a good blocker but a VERY willing blocker.

If the football and him ever get on the same page it would be dangerous.

It's hard to say...Green Bay is usually conservative with injured players, and they just made an investment in Watson, so he likely won't be rushed into the lineup until they are pretty confident he's all good.

The prospect of having Watson and Golden on the field at the same time is intriguing....Talk about stretching the field.

Surprised to see that nobody's discussing this...

Mcmanus seems pretty confident, so that's good, but Lafleur doesn't seem to be on the same page. Hopefully it's just a matter of Mcmanus' situation improving over the course of the day and Lafleur not getting updated in real time.

The Packers know not to take this lightly. But McManus is a veteran. He reiterated that this is much like an injury he had in 2022 and he kicked well that game. He is 3 years older but if he says he is good to go I would believe him.

Bad news.... Tom is still having a lot of problems with that oblique injury; I think this is becoming close to a "worst case" scenario. Having had that injury myself, I know that it's very hard to recover from, because you can't help aggravating it repeatedly throughout the day. I can't even imagine how painful it must be to play tackle with that injury.

I'm also reading now that the injury was not a "strained muscle", as we were initially told, but a torn oblique. If he was in so much pain most of the game that he can't even remember the game, it's hard to imagine how he's going to get through the entire season. It's probably likely to just keep getting worse.

“It didn’t feel great,” Tom said after the game.

Asked to put his level of pain on a one to 10 scale, Tom declined to answer.

“I ain’t answering that. No way,” he said.

He gave a similar response when asked if he should have given himself another week to heal.

“I’m not answering that, either.”

Tom said the injury hurt “way worse” during his abbreviated comeback at Cleveland a few weeks ago. This time, it was “manageable.”

Tom said the pain was too great to remember most of the game, though.

“I just want to go home and go to sleep,” Tom said.

Not good. I naturally assumed that the oblique injury was a partial tear. If you go stand next to a wall and push on it a bit, besides your pectorals, back, and shoulders you will feel your obliques. I'm sure that it is a very painful injury, but I doubt long term.

It would be best if he could rest another week or two. We could slide Morgan over to RT now that he's played nearly every position except center.

Oh man. He really should be shelved until that heals. How long would that take?

If you're playing football while trying to recover, it is long term, because you reinjure it every time you stress it. Especially if you're blocking a 280 lb defensive end 60 times a game.

I strained an oblique years ago, a non-sports Grade 1 injury, and it took me months to recover. It was one of the most limiting injuries I've ever had; a person just does dozens of things every single day that aggravate it, and you just can't avoid reinjuring it. Getting into your car, getting out of your car, getting out of bed, rolling over in bed, putting your shoes on, sitting down on the couch, getting up off the couch, bending forward and reaching into the refrigerator, putting a T-shirt on, and on and on and on.

Based on what I've read, and my own experience, I'd guess that for a tackle, probably a couple of months, and even then he'll have an elevated risk of re-injury for some period of time. I've never known of a tackle who had this injury. And it sounds as though his is a lot worse than mine.

I do know of a few college and NFL quarterbacks who were able to play through it, at least for a while. Mac Jones played through it yesterday, in fact. He was injured last week, but I don't know how bad it was. I think that'd be a lot easier than playing on the line.

I hate to be all doom and gloom and the sky is falling, but I don't see any way this isn't a serious problem for a big chunk of the season. I sure hope I'm wrong, though.

He should go on IR and attempt to return next season. In the meantime start shopping for an OT that can carry us the rest of the way. Forget about CBs, WRs, etc.

His season may be over. We should start looking for another lineman for the roster.

If speaking to Tom I don't believe his season is over. BUT I do know he was in much more pain than he or the coaches thought he would be. At this point collectively they all need to decide do we shut him down completely for a few weeks (3-6 likely) and hopefully have a 100% Tom or close to close out the year....or do we think he can play and likely never be better than 75% normal Tom....

I'm not disagreeing with anything you said, but will point out that none of us know the extent of his oblique injury. Therefore none of us know if it is long term or not.

Did anyone else catch that LVN left the field on a cart in the 4th quarter with a foot injury?

Bullard apparently does not have a concussion, but I assume that they will treat him gingerly in practice.

I haven't read anything more about Wick's injury.

Absolutely correct, and that's exactly why I want to emphasize that I'm just making guesses based on my own experience and what I learned about obliques at that time. I'm no doctor. But one thing I remember is that level pain is a direct indicator of where you are in the recovery process, and worsening pain means the injury is at best not healing, and is likely worsening.

I remember so many times, there'd be a week or two where the pain was lessening, and I'd get my hopes up. Then I'd just cough... one cough; and ''wham''! The pain was back, and I'd start all over again, nursing it along for weeks. Honestly one of the two most frustrating injuries I've ever had (the other being a torn hamstring tendon that lasted many months).

I hope I'm wrong; I'm usually a lot more positive and optimistic, and I'm not used to being such a pessimist. I wish the man well, because I certainly know what his world is like right now. He reportedly actually passed out at one point in the game; I have tremendous admiration for the man.

Oh, yeah, that was a pretty big deal. He had an MRI yesterday, and Lafleur announced that we ''dodged a big bullet'. It's definitely a soft tissue injury, and he says he won't miss a lot of time, but Green Bay is bringing in 4 free agent DEs this week to at least add some depth to the position.

It was not noticed because at the time he sacked Flacco and fans were pointing out his number and were celebrating. It was a sour turn of events because we needed him on the next play of which Flacco capitalized.

The LVN injury seems to be dragging on a bit longer than originally expected...

And Lloyd? Going into Week 8, he's apparently not even close to practicing, according to MLF. Even in a best case scenario, he's going to miss at least the first half of his 2nd season. We could really use him down the stretch, to take some of the wear and tear off of Jacobs.

LVN only has missed one game I’m pretty sure no?
