Oh, poor Joe Montana... he looks old. Old and tired....

Edit: Wow... I just googled him; he's got tons of health issues. Severe arthritis in his hands, knees, and elbows, and an artificial hip, knee, and shoulder - one of which became badly infected, and required several surgeries over a period of months, at least 3 spinal fusions, permanent nerve damage causing numbness in one foot and leg, and high blood pressure. Some of those spinal injuries date back to his playing days. He also had a serious surgical procedure just a few weeks ago, from which he says he will have a long and difficult recovery.

But there he is at mid-field, doing the honors with the ceremonial coin toss. He looked like he had a hard time making it all the way out there. I admire the hell out of the guy for not letting it stop him from living his life, but it's really painful seeing the poor man going through this. I had no idea at all.

Hard to believe he's only a year older than I am. Kinda scary.

I usually don't make predictions because it seems pointless; I don't have any control over what happens. But I don't mind expressing a preference - I want Seattle. They're representing the NFC, and those damned Patriots have won enough of these. This is the 60th Super Bowl, and they've played in 1 out of every 5.

The Steelers have played in 8; which means that in 1 out of every 3 Super Bowls, the AFC is represented by either New England or Pittsburgh. That's dominance.

Saw somewhere that this is the 10th Super Bowl that Josh McDaniels is part of. Not much positive history as a HC, but can't deny his OC capability.

One of the best halftime shows in ages, but the game was kind of a dud.

Seahawks defense should be MVP.

Sounds like Jody Allen will be donating the proceeds of the sale to philanthropy, primarily through the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation, which supports the arts, culture, and environmental conservation. So THAT is awesome!

Sam Darnold has more Super Bowl wins than the Vikings!
True.

And @Pokerbrat2000 has narrowly won the NFL Playoff Predictions Contest.

@AmishMafia came up one win short. So close on both counts this season. However, @OldSchool101 gets second place with his 30 point bonus for tying Pokerbrat with an 11-2 playoff pick record.

I didn't see any score matches or spread bingos for tonight's game. @Albert Park came closest to picking the final score with his 33-20 prediction.

Thanks for everyone's participation.

Thanks for sorting this and the main season one @Canadian Cheddar. It's been fun and gives me something else to have an interest in. Just a pity it's another 7 months before we can do it all again

Congratulations to everyone on having a great season, and to Pokerbrat in particular, who won the show but probably didn't deserve it. LOL Having your pet chicken placed on a board with all the pairings for each week and choosing the teams where the fowl defecates as the winner, and then using a Ouija board to determine scores is not exactly prowess in picking winners.

As for the rest of us, who tried to do it sports scientifically, we better start looking for chickens to use next year.

On a further note, I heard that Oldschool and Amish had chickens too, but didn't realize you weren't supposed to eat them before the playoffs started. A mistake I'd imagine they'll correct before next year.

As for the rest of us, we didn't have a chance against these three stalwart game pickers. They cleaned up. Even in their living rooms each week after getting the chicken picks in.
