Last night's game was a gut punch. I felt bad for Turang but until Yeli gets going its gonna be a struggle to score against the Dodgers. The Crew goes as Yeli goes.

Yeah even in the game 5 win over Chicago, they did it with HRs, a rarity with the Brewers who score by hitting singles, doubles, stealing bases - aggressive play.

I hope they get back to that tonight. Gotta give credit to Snell though. He's been doing this to opponents for a long time.

A gut punch is right. They had their opportunity and sometimes, you get the bear and sometimes, the bear gets you.

For those who missed the Brewers new defensive play called "How do you turn a near HR/Sac. Fly into a double play and not runs", you need to check it out! That was the wildest DP I have ever seen. I think Dodgers Manager, Dave Roberts, wanted to stand out there and argue it, but couldn't figure out how it even happened or more importantly, what just happened. Such a heads up play by all involved for the Brewers.

It was a tough loss, but honestly, Blake Snell pitched an absolute gem and those are the games that you usually find yourself down 5-0, with no hope. To have the winning run at 2nd in the bottom of the 9th, who would have thought.

The other bonus last night, we got to their Star Rookie Bullpen guy, rookie Roki Sasaki. That might pay off in his confidence in future games.

We'll get them tonight, when hopefully, Freddie locks them down and we don't see such a masterful pitching performance from Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

Another moment lost in that game. With the Bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth and the tying run on 3rd, Turang could have taken a pitch into his leg and tied the game up. Instincts took over and his body/brain told him to get out of the way. Oh man, what could have been, had he just taken one for the team!

Well said weeds, well said. The Bear (Snell) got us last night. On the plus side, the Brewers pitching has been solid using a platoon approach. Peralta is starting tonight, and I say we get back in the win column. Which is kinda like a "must win" game. That's why I like 7-game series. There's time to right the ship.

But really, no team could have done better against Snell last night. He's an excellent starting pitcher who "had his stuff". We'll get a win back tonight with Peralta on the mound.

I was disappointed in Uribe for giving up what was the winning run in the 9th. Otherwise, the pitching was great. It seemed risky starting Ashby for the first inning. but like Megill in game 5 of the Cubs' series, he did fine and got the Crew through what had been a series of week first-inning play.

Yelich is at .240 for postnseason

is he hurt
I don't think he's hurt. I also don't think he's the only guy who can ignite a big inning. That was true in the past - Tellich's bat was pivotal. But they've added more hitting, not long ball but a lot of guys getting on base and then playing aggressively.

Gotta get back to that tonight.

There have been a few players, through the years, that were really good at "intentionally/unintentionally" getting hit by pitches. That was one pitch that I would have been fine with Turang taking the sting, but then again, we could be talking about no Turang for the rest of the season.

I think it's been true in the past that the team plays well when Yellich plays well. But this season? Not so much. They have solid hitting up and down the lineup, and during their hot streak, they got guys on base, didn't hit a lot of HRs, and played aggressively when on base.

I'd certainly like to see Yellich get hot now, he does have a huge impact on the team, but the Brewers have other guys now who can step up.

Baylor was the one I could not stand. He put his left forearm over the plate on nearly every pitch.

Tough game.

I don’t follow the LA Dodgers pitchers but consensus rankings say Snell-Yomo was their best 2 pitchers. Those guys are really consistent and they put their best foot forward. Obviously Glasnow has his own strengths, but just going off people in the know grading various aspects of their games he can be dynamic, but not as smooth consistency. Hopefully Milwaukee can steal 2 of the next 3 at Dodgers Stadium and get back in front of the home crowd.

And 5 hits in 2 games equals 2 runs in 2 games. The pitching was certainly good enough to win game 1, and Peralta did his job last night. The bats are dead, dead, deadski, as Beetlejuice would say.

Well it's miracle time. They have to find a way to win 2 in LA. No small task.

I do wish that MLB and the NBA has a cap structure similar to the NFL. Players are almost always gonna prefer big markets for sponsorship opps, but the biggest sponsorship deals are national anyway (Mahomes/State Farm, for one).

There's not much point to playing so many regular season games if the wealthiest teams are always gonna be on top. Start the playoffs in September, at least.

I’m so depressed and sad over this

We just can’t compete with the money they have

Not right

Until the MLB wises up and creates a hard cap like the NFL, this will always be the case. If the opposite happened and the NFL allowed unlimited spending, the Packers would quickly become the doormat of the league.

Seeing articles claiming this series will make the salary cap come to reality end of 26 season with new bargaining comes up
