Is that dinner theater in Chanhassen still there?I used to manage a repertory theatre in Minneapolis, in the early 80s, before there was a VCR in every room of every house. We'd run doubleheaders of classic films for 2 or 3 days (Casablanca and Maltese Falcon, Victor Victoria and The Bird Cage, War of The Worlds and Forbidden Planet, etc), then I'd take the movies down to the Amtrak station, drop them off, and pick up the canisters for the next doubleheader. Really fun job, if you're a 25- year old kid who loves movies.
Except fpr Friday and Saturday night. Because that was when we ran Rocky Horror at midnight.
I guess it was kind if of fun, because the kids were wild about it, and there was a lot of excited energy. But I have to say, it did kind of wear on me.
You know that scene where everyone throws rice? We remodeled the whole theatre one month, and when they removed some of the light fixtures, there was rice inside of the sealed lights. How the hell those little barbarians managed to get rice inside of sealed units, screwed down firmly, I'll never figure out.
Yes! Still going strong, in its 57th year I believe. Is that dinner theater in Chanhassen still there?
WOW! Close to about 50 years when I was there. Tarkenton was the QB. Good dinner. I think I saw I DO I DO and Vanities.Yes! Still going strong, in its 57th year I believe.
I hope the Packers do not read that. Six long TDs in a game could mean pulled hammies."I Do I Do" ran for an incredible 22 years! The total attendance was greater than the entire population of Minneapolis and St. Paul, 570 people at a time.
Jeez, that Brewers game today.... first time since expansion (64 years) that any team has stolen 6 bases in one innning. And 9 in the game (all in the first 4 innings)? They're all going to have pulled hamstrings. Those records are going to stand a long, long time.
Now THAT'S nice!I went to Detroit this weekend and took in 2 games between the Tigers and Cleveland. Was fortunate to see Tarik Skubal pitch yesterday, what a performance. He pitched a 2 hit complete game, 94 pitches, 13 K's no walks, hit one batter. Of the 94 pitches, 72 were strikes, and his last pitch of the game was clocked at 102.6mph... unreal! These were our seats for that game.

My friend and I splurged on the great seats, and to see the reigning AL Cy Young winner give the hometown crowd a performance like that... man it was electric. There were over 37000 people who attended both Saturday night and Sunday games. Now THAT'S nice!
Did you see where Jacob Misiorowski (that last name is a killer to get right) was added to NL All-Star team 5 games into his MLB career? That's a big ol' WOW from me.

'I'm speechless': Brewers rookie phenom Jacob Misiorowski is named an NL all-star
Just five starts into his major-league career, Brewers right-hander Jacob Misiorowski has been named an NL all-star.www.jsonline.com
I’ve never seen it in a theater. That’s the only way to really experience it, as far as I know.Sometimes, I think I'm the only one who has never seen The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Pretty amazing. They are hitting their stride at the perfect time. The sweep of the Dodgers was suh-weet!Crew are one game back today.

I've wanted a Milwaukee/Detroit World Series, since the Brewers moved to the NL...this year is likely to be the best chance for that to happen. Tigers are stumbling a bit this week, but still have the best record in baseball, and the Brew Crew are hotter than a pistol.Pretty amazing. They are hitting their stride at the perfect time. Where did this Detroit team come from? I don't follow BB that closely but this is surprising.I've wanted a Milwaukee/Detroit World Series, since the Brewers moved to the NL...this year is likely to be the best chance for that to happen. It's actually, imho, a good movie. Weird but well done. But it's an experience in a theatre when all the crowd individually gets on the stage and does the parts while the movie is going on behind them. And everyone dresses the part.I’ve never seen it in a theater. That’s the only way to really experience it, as far as I know.
The Brewers have quietly become the best team in baseball over the last few weeks. 4 in a row against LA? That's not an accident. After last night's win, their steak is an unbelievable 8 in a row and even more unbelievable, 4 in a row against the Dodgers. Priester's W-L is 8-2 now after allowing 3 hits in 6 innings and striking out 10 ... that's TEN against the freepin' Dodgers. I don't expect another series sweep against those guys but wow.... Cubbies keep winning too. Crew are a game back. Tonight (Saturday) Peralta starts.
I lost the channel that the Crew are broadcast on as part of an upgrade from Spectrum. While I appreciate the 500 mbps ... they got me on the TV channels. It would be included in the sports channel package for an extra $10 per month but the line in the sand was drawn.
