You're right, AADP. The "skill" players like RBs and WRs need every snap they can get. Harrell's job isn't quite as complicated. He'll get the rust off in a hurry if he's the player we hope he is. Luckily, we have good men already at his position. He's the frosting on the cake, IMO. Of course, you can never have too much frosting.
good post! i agree

:rotflmao: are you kidding me. first of all, when TT drafted this guy, I never even heard of him, second, the guy was hurt last year, so we don't even know if the kid can play or not, but he is gonna holdout?

i hope TT gets this kid signed and into camp by the 26th, or TT is gonna look silly for drafting an unknown injured player with the first pick, and then the guy holds out.
:rotflmao:
Good job TT.

Last year 4 days prior to camp 2nd round pick Jennings signed,
3 days prior 4th round pick Rodgers signed,
2 days prior 3rd round pick Spitz was signed,
the day prior they signed 5th round pick Martin and 2nd round pick Colledge.

There is only one practice on Saturday. It is playing chicken with the deadline.

There has been little public discussion. I see that as a good sign as no one appears upset and the numbers being discussed are not that far off.

If Harrell does not participate in Monday's practice then something is seriously wrong.

Did we sign all our draft picks LAST year?

Not on time in 2006.

Not on time in 2005.

Not on time in 2004.

Not on time in 2003.

Not on time in 2002.

Not on time in 2001.

From the Packers.com website I cannot determine if 2000 was timely or not.

I define timely as having all draft picks signed before training camp begins. So what are the odds of it being timely this year?????
“I wouldn’t say it was an easy negotiation,” said Eugene Parker, Harrell’s agent. “But we were able to get it done on time. I give a lot of credit to Andrew (Brandt, the Packers’ vice president of player finance). He is extremely good at putting together creative contracts.”
