I meant the monk from The Doors song. "The monk bought lunch. Yeah, he bought a little." Too much time on my hands
This is the kind of guy who would get to his seat at Lambeau down in the boxes and go and trade it with someone at the top row at the far end of the field because of the angle of the sun.You must be logged in to see this image or video!
You realize he was born and raised in Green Bay?You must be logged in to see this image or video!
I think you’ve been watching the Brewers too closely. We could just forfeit the game.. I mean it’s a way to get a week off for rest and get more players healthy! Not to mention embarrassment this will save both of usWhile I agree with you about the Packers use of the injury report, as well as many other teams using it in a similar matter, there is no denying that the Eagles are the healthier team. Throw in a 2 week rest for them and IMO its an uphill battle on Monday Night for the Packers. Also, under HC Nick Sirianni, the Eagles are 4-0 after a bye. The Eagles have also made some additions to their defense in the past 2 weeks. Adding Cornerbacks Michael Carter II and none other than Jaire Alexander. Also added was DE Jaelan Phillips. Finally and kind of interesting. Between early August and the November 4th trade deadline, the Eagles have made 9 trades.

I never said that the Packers will lose on Monday Night. Nor did I say that the Eagles are WAY more talented than the Packers (Brewers VS Dodgers analogy?)I think you’ve been watching the Brewers too closely. We could just forfeit the game.. I absolutely agree with having to bring the right attitude. Yet we need to come to play with EVERY opponent, not just the ones perceived to be more difficult. That’s been a problem now for awhile. Coincidence? IdkI never said that the Packers will lose on Monday Night. Nor did I say that the Eagles are WAY more talented than the Packers (Brewers VS Dodgers analogy?)
What I did say is that the Eagles are coming off a bye and are really healthy. Not to mention, a talented team. Meanwhile, the Packers are really banged up, not coming off a bye and just lost a home game against the Carolina Panthers, a not so talented team.
Monday night will be the Packers most difficult game of the season, thus far....IMO. So they better come ready to play.
I really think many people have been underestimating Carolina. While they might not be some powerhouse, in games played with their starting QB they are 5-3. Judging them by a multiple injured Wentz is not wise. Wentz shouldn’t have been left on the field. He was hurt that bad.
Plus it’s pretty obvious that 5 turns in the Redzone and only netting 1 TD was more on Green Bay than anyone.
I never said it didn’t concern me. You seem to be irritable that I have a different take for some reason. First you try to spin me saying we should have expectations of a Win into we should have expectations of our opponents strength. Why not just ask me? Instead of having to argue something I never said and making assumptions.I am glad that this doesn't concern you. It concerns me a LOT, especially having to go up against a better defense like the Eagles have.
I was getting mentally prepared to go find a Packers bar in town. I mentioned it to my watching buddies, of which one responded saying that she was going to use her old rabbit ears. Duh! I forgot that I can just watch the game on the local ABC affiliate using rabbit ears.If this You Tube TV, Disney/ESPN/ABC dispute doesn't get figured out by Monday night, I'm going to be p***ed.
Are you saying the game isn't sold out? Or is everything pay for these days. Or you just don't want cable or sattelite. Just curious. Anyway, you probably need good weather.I was getting mentally prepared to go find a Packers bar in town. Thank goodness for friends.
I think we knew this would be our toughest game on the entire schedule when it was released. Even more than the Thanksgiving trip to Detroit. And most would have picked the Eagles in this one. The other feather in the Eagles cap in addition to their health and talent is their experience. They have been through this before. Lost a SB, won a SB. The mindset going into a game like this for Philly is different than it is for the Pack.I never said that the Packers will lose on Monday Night. Almost impossible to stop both. The Eagles can beat you in so many ways. The Vikings held Barkley in check but Hurts showed his skills. But Barkley is the one we must stop. Do not want to be torched on the ground 2 weeks in a row.Don't want to see many push from behind QB sneaks in the game. But I have to believe that Saquan Barkley is our biggest problem. The linebackers have to be looking for him. And of course we have to contain Hurts.
Packers are gonna win by 2Why do I get the distinct feeling of another skunkoroman wrestling defeat. A good wild card team perhaps that once in the playoffs cannot score due to a rubber oline. hmmm. LOL
Who's arguing? I am merely pointing out my observations and expectations differ from yours. To me, that is a mere discussion, something you and I do all the time here, as do others. Calling me "irritable" for doing that, is rather silly don't you think?I never said it didn’t concern me. You seem to be irritable that I have a different take for some reason. Now our spinning me saying it doesn’t concern me that we scored 10 points on 5 Redzone trips. Because 100% I believe we should’ve scored more so that was not my opinion at all. Just ask me and I’m happy to clarify things instead of making false assumptions, which you did, twice.
what’s harder to do? @Pokerbrat2000
1. Score 15+ points (instead of 10pts) on 5 guaranteed trips to the Redzone?
2. Make 5 trips to the Redzone across 7 total possessions?
I think you’d agree (I’m not making assumptions here) that visiting the Redzone on 71.4% of our possessions is pretty tough. Yet that’s exactly what we did last week. So my point is this. It’s a good problem to have. We got a little sloppy in the Redzone it’s not like GB didn’t move the ball. Do you realize that’s 53 yards per possession! If we don’t fumble or shank our makable FG’s we could’ve Won. Maybe not pretty but who cares.
If I judged every game harshly on our 2 close losses we’d be 0-8 and selling off players.

I'm hoping we play a bit tighter. 3rd and 1 or 2 for the eagles is like 3rd and 4 or 5 for another team. And 4th and 1 is just as bad. So we need to play like the 1st down line is two yards shorter than it is. They have more like 1st and 8 rather than 1st and 10.The over and under on "Pushes" tomorrow night is 5 (my made up number). I expect a lot of pushing from the Eagles and I hope the Packers can find a way to push back.
Optimism and realism come to a head. The only real plus the Packers have this week is that they are at home. But everything you described points to a relatively expected Eagle victory. The Packers would have to exceed their Week One performance to win this one.Who's arguing? I am merely pointing out my observations and expectations differ from yours. To me, that is a mere discussion, something you and I do all the time here, as do others. Calling me "irritable" for doing that, is rather silly don't you think?
Anyway, I admire your optimism after the Panthers game, I just don't happen to share it (about the Panthers game). I also don't agree with your take on Carolina being "a better team than people give them credit for." I think that is a Packer fan excuse for the way that the Packers played on Sunday. You said something about not judging them for what Wentz did while injured? I believe you are confusing them with the Vikings? Me pointing these things out, isn't arguing with you, nor is it me being "irritable". So yes, I think the Packers played an inferior team on Sunday and lost, at home. I thing on Monday night, they are playing a much better and much healthier team in the Eagles. If they put the same effort onto the field as they did against the Panthers, a betting man puts all he has on the Eagles.
I guess I don't understand this statement? How does breaking down each played game, pointing out why a team lost, and saying how those mistakes need to be corrected for their next game, change the result of any of the games already played?
No spins on your expectations, since they are your expectations. Me pointing out the state of the Eagles team, before Monday nights game, is simply reality. "They are healthy, they are coming off a bye week and under the current HC, they are 4-0 after a bye.
Again, love your optimism, but don't take it personally if I point out why I don't share those same feelings about the Panthers game or the Eagles game. Finally, that is me saying the Packers suck and they will lose Monday night.
Very embarrassing. Saints stopping the run. We could not.Saints beating Panthers in Charlotte...makes last week look more and more embarrassing
Seriously, now a two score game. Saints putting up more points on the road than the Packers did at home, and shutting down Panthers run too. How does MLF still have a job?Very embarrassing. Saints stopping the run. We could not.
