Hopefully the offense shows up this week. Knowing this team they will probably beat The Eagles with ease.
Better defense than Carolina and Carolina's played well. The Eagles are a stronger team at both sides of the line of scrimmage. Even the Chiefs could not handle them. If you are going to beat them it is with several punches to the gut like the Broncos and Giants managed to do. Not easy.

The Packers could’ve Won any game they’ve played this year if they just cleaned up a couple small details. It’s getting to late in season for 6 first half flags. Gotta be smart with the football and don’t allow any opportunities yj punch or out or throw into triple coverage situations. Just throw the ball away in this game. Punt and live to see another play.

Philly is a better opponent. Yet they have shown some flaws also and don’t seem to be firing on all cylinders like last year. It’s also not at The Linc stadium and that does help, regardless of us stinking it up last Sunday, a home game is better than Lincoln financial.

I have no idea what our Offense will look like without Tucker. My gut tells me Matt plays teams he finds inferior (in his mind) softer or less intensity. Yet when he thinks it’s a great team he scripts it up in tune with our opponent. I think we play a good game and it’s going to be close would guess. If Packers Win? none can say we have not beat a contender. It’s an opportunity to hold our division and be able to say we beat Detroit, Pittsburgh and Philly. Just sayin.

Have to find a way to slow down Barkley and Hurts. Dowdle torched us. They are just as good. If Hurts does not need to throw he won't. Doubs and Watson will not be enough. Another receiver will have to get open short. Maybe Jacobs out of the backfield can help if Love has enough time.

I know Wicks has been dealing with a calf injury. My hope is that he is good to go this week, we could really use him. I suspect Golden might miss a game to allow his shoulder to heal.
At this point having 1 of those 2 would be huge.

I will say that Philly has been struggling at times like GB. They lost by 3 Scores to the Giants and won by 3 scores with the Giants. Every other Game has been within 1 score, so they don’t have the potency we saw last year. Not discounting them but it’s very apparent they have regressed. I’d be much more concerned playing last years Eagles. I actually think if we go out there and play clean we can beat Philly.

It's what .500 teams do. So hey it could happen.
Your troll and negative attempts need to be closer to true if you want them to land.

Like if we were one game away from being .500 maybe….but…

Agreed. We’re actually a couple of missed FG’s from being 7-0-1. Granted they weren’t Top 10 power ranked teams. We’re 8 games in and no team has beat us without the help of a 50+ FG with no time remaining + GB missing FG’s inside 45 yards. Not exactly dominant Wins there.

I don’t want to negate our competitor it because they played good enough to beat a talented team. That said in each loss the Packers had at least a couple boneheaded plays that changed the outcome. A pair of uncharacteristic missed 43 yard FG’s in Cleveland and with Carolina. McNamath missed 2 FG’s across an entire 2024 season. He’s had THREE 43 yard misses. We’re not even 50% into our season. IF the misses were from 53? I get it because those aren’t gimmes. A 43 yarder is probably 90%+ leaguewide and 95% with McNamath. Now 1 game didn’t matter because we won by multiple scores m, so we dodged a bullet. The other pair likely lost 1 game or possibly both games

Another thing that does give me hope beyond a normal fan. Both the Offense and Defense have set themselves up for success. In both categories the Packers Yards Made and Yards allowed reflect a team better than Points scored. This tells me that GB overall has played good, but they need that 1 or 2 plays to finish a drive.

-Defensively. Either our O or Teams has spotted our Opponent in scoring position to Start a drive. When we play clean, our Defense slows opponents enough to Win. Offensively. We have not capitalized on trips into scoring position. Instead either missing FG’s or Turning the ball over.

It’s not that we can’t stop our opponent because the Packers are 5th in yards allowed on D. That’s darn good.
It’s not that we can’t move the ball on Offense. The Packers are 8th in yards gained. That’s not elite but it’s pretty solid. It’s we’re stalling or missing points when they present themselves. Plus we are not complimenting each other very well. Also Teams aside from Punting is hurting us.

Only the Chiefs, LA Chargers and Packers are ranked top 8 (75% tile) in both phases. Ideally you want both phases performing at a high clip. You don’t want a Dallas #3 Offense and #31 Defense etc. the average Super Bowl Winning teams rank about top 7-8 in Offense or Defense. We’re really a couple of tweaks away from having that ideal balance. Some coaching, some offense, some defense, some teams. Just a few positive tweaks in each phase and we’d be tough to beat.

Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Chicago, San Francisco, Minnesota, Tampa and yes Philly have ALL been unstable in at least 1 phase (ranked 17-32).

If GB plays to their #5-#8 production and our Teams at minimum gets out of the way? GB can toe to toe with anyone in this years class. Our efficiency doesn’t match our production. It’s like making bunch of product but much of it is wasted or defective. Fine tune the process

Wicks and Golden practiced Limited today!
DT Colby Wooden (who left the Carolina game (Shoulder)) and OG Aaron Banks (left last week with a stinger) were present and going through drills.
A sprinkle of good News! as our first signal of potential candidates for Monday Night.

Lukas, Hobbs and Savion were out.

Lighten up, kid. If I troll, you'll know it. Fact is inconsistent teams, talented or not, who play up and down to the competition usually end up +/- .500. Thusfar, this is what we've been given. I'm not a Pollyanna and I'm certainly not a cheerleader.

The game starts about 30 hours than on a normal week. That may help a bit. Then we have to put this one aside and get ready to head to NY for a noon game on the 16th. I think our defense really needs Van Ness in there to take a load off Parsons. Last year I never would have thought much whether he played or not.

At my age, everyone seems to be "kid' ... could have been "kiddo" ... only my son who's about your age gets "Bubzie" because he chewed my a** for calling him "kid". No condescension involved. Force of habit. I've p.o.'d a couple of full VP's at the bank with that, but as you get to a certain age ... you just develop a whole new level of indifference - and they go back into their corner because I report to the Board. :whistling:

The Packers will be limping into the game Monday night. Meanwhile, the Eagles will be coming fresh off of a bye week. When I compare the Packers injury report with the Eagles, it really gives me pause. Most of the Eagle players that are listed, practiced fully yesterday. Not the case with the Packers.

While I certainly don’t want to dismantle your entire thought. I’ve come to realize that Matt uses our injury list as a psychological war tool. If a player he heard was constipated last season that an automatic “limited probable”

The only real ones we can count on missing are likely Van Ness and Kraft (obvious reasons). Savion is a likely to miss if he’s not Limited today.

Past that I was pleased to see that several Packers even had a chance to practice. We should know better around 3pm in our 2nd injury report. Just the fact that these players were practicing yesterday is pretty good news.

Wooden
Wicks
Golden
Banks
Watson

If they practiced today that’s a really positive sign. All these players exited at some point in their last game played and many never returned.

While I agree with you about the Packers use of the injury report, as well as many other teams using it in a similar matter, there is no denying that the Eagles are the healthier team. Throw in a 2 week rest for them and IMO its an uphill battle on Monday Night for the Packers. Also, under HC Nick Sirianni, the Eagles are 4-0 after a bye. The Eagles have also made some additions to their defense in the past 2 weeks. Adding Cornerbacks Michael Carter II and none other than Jaire Alexander. Also added was DE Jaelan Phillips. Finally and kind of interesting. Between early August and the November 4th trade deadline, the Eagles have made 9 trades.
