Pro Football Focus awarded him an (unofficial) passing grade of 94.0, which is in elite territory. They credited Love with three big-time throws, no turnover-worthy plays, and an adjusted completion percentage of 80 percent.
He deserves credit. Throwing in windy conditions. The Giants have a battered secondary but a good pass rush. With us unable to run the ball enough and the musical chairs with the receivers Love was outstanding. And not having a decent TE really affected our game plan. Musgrave is not getting it done. Wyhl was fortunately wide open when his cover man slipped. We have to get some production out of this position. The Bears used Kmet yesterday to thwart the Viking defense. MLF better come up with a game plan because he is facing a better D next week.

Well Love was pretty much a stud in every way today and Micah stopped a 4th and goal with a sack and finished the game with a strip sack to close it out

Seems like a minimum of 2 studs to me even for the harshest crtic and thats without pointing out Watson had a pretty good game and Valentine continues to seem to be the answer at CB

But im generally curious how you think they scored 27 points and won the game if everyone sucked?
The wind is not an excuse but indeed had a major effect. The Giant punter had a bad one as well but no 60 yarder. The Giants kicker missed a PAT also, albeit 48 yards. Both teams opted against playing for the FG in that neither even attempted one. Next week it will be colder in GB but with likely less wind. And on Turkey there will be none.

10 drops as a team, Havrisik missing 2...orzech and Whelan botching 1...O-Line was horrendous...who WAS a stud Tyni?
Love, how did you not see that? That man was dropping freaking DIMES. I honestly think that could have been Love's best passing game from start to finish he's had.

Banks also had a resurgence game from first watch along the front, I look forward to the All22 to confirm that (usually do my studs and duds after full rewatch).

Evan Williams even before the INT played lights out and deserves recognition and one could argue Parsons as well.

Haven't watched the rewatch All22 like I like to do before awarding Studs and Duds BUT I can clearly provide these:

Studs

Jordan Love
- this is not a tongue in cheek thing, but I think that was his strongest start to finish game of his career. Add in the injury issue and the wind and it just strengthens that opinion. His adjusted completion percentage was as high as 83% I saw amongst some places due to the illness that was drops on Sunday and the one throwaway. He honest to God likely would have been around 20 for 24 with over 250+ yards and likely an additional TD....The touch he had on some of the longer throws in that wind was insane.

Evan Williams - ignore the INT and he still deserves to be here. That young man had a resurgence of a game and was flying around everywhere...a few of our big third down stops were absolutely created by him either making the play or blowing it up for someone else to clean up and take the glory.

Malik Willis - Ready and able - you can ask no more from your back up.

STUDS:
Malik Willis for being totally prepared to go out there on the spot and play hi quality football. We didnt miss a beat with him in there.

Watson: at least we have one guy with reliable hands.

Love: crtical pass to savion williams on 3rd down to save the drive, tight throw to watson for TD with 3 defenders in the area.

MLF: not a stud but at least he has made the attempt to change his normal routine with some trick plays , more play action, RPOs etc to mix things up. Probably a big step for him.
Minus ..did not like the 3rd and short call
for a low % deep ball down the sideline. Stupid call. Just keep the drive going w

Yeah Red this is a mirror of what I saw. The best thing to come out of the game? Probably the play of Watson, although Willis is a close second. Willis plays with so much energy, he gets the other guys fired up. Wish Love could do that.

But the run D was a piece of cheese cloth. WTF how can they get beaten soberly on the ground after what Carolina's Dowdle did to them? That's really a concern. With the loss of Clark, I expected the run D to suffer a bit. But not to Carolina and the NYGs.

Agree on all three. Williams continues to play better and better. Willis has amazing energy and talent and he just inspires an offense when he comes in. He is always ready.

As for Love, he is very quietly having a great season. He's not a demonstrative guy like Favre or Rodgers, but he is a very good QB. I'm not quite sure how a guy with that much talent mostly flies under the radar. That's just his style, and it's working.

I'd also add Bullard to the list. He is also quietly making plays in the secondary when plays need to be made. That's encouraging news for a CB group that has hardly excelled.

thanks chemist, good stuff. To add just a little - yeah Love was playing more under center and that makes the RPO work. He was taking way too many snaps out of shotgun, and that makes RPO almost impossible. Hope this continues. At least MLF is trying to make changes.

I'm a big Jacobs fan but perhaps his absence due to injury forced MLF to put the offense in Love's hand and Jordan delivered.

Good point Pugger and Love certainly delivered yesterday, as did Watson and a number of other players. There were a lot of drops, and missed INTs. Conditions were pretty lousy for passing and kicking, but Love got it done. (And win or no wind, there is no excuse for the badly missed PATs, or the number of dropped passes. Maybe Havrisik has returned to earth after his stellar beginning.)

I don't think the run game problems have to do with Jacobs. Rather it is the ever-shifting and largely ineffective run blocking that has hampered the run game. Even with a healthy Jacobs, I'd like to see more of Wilson. And what is going on with Marshawn Lloyd?

Love took more snaps under center yesterday, or so it seemed. That is a much better way to set up RPO than taking snaps out of shotgun. Anyway, Love's performance (and Wilis') were outstanding given the extreme wind.

In no particular order:

Love, Watson, Williams. Honorable mention to Willis and Banks. A nod to Parsons for the sack and FF to end the game.
I didn't notice Banks' performance so thanks for pointing that out 66. I'd also give a nod to Bullard, who keeps getting better as slot CB.

A very good and somewhat subtle point made by several people regarding taking snaps under center instead of shotgun.
Under center opponent doesnt really know if its run or pass, while shotgun pretty much signals pass. Packers(MLF) use to try runs from shotgun which failed miserably.
Glad they changed to under center. Love has enough speed to avoid pressure if needed, can always roll out to extend play, and doesnt lose much accuracy on the run.
Ive seen him make accurate throws while being knocked to the ground. We just need more guys like watson who can snare passes out of the air when the ball is catchable.

Love was definitely a stud. I literally cannot think of one bad throw or bad decision from the game on his part yesterday. He probably had his best game of the season and his supporting cast probably had their worst.

Hard disagree on Parsons and Banks. 1 play from Parsons doesn't get you a stud. Banks doesn't get a stud just because Morgan and Rhyan played worse

Yet we won the game. May not seem like much vs a team with a poor record, but you have to give kudos to the giants OC for calling a great game as the giants were consistently moving the ball up and down the field like a contending team. To me a much bigger win for us than appears on the surface

Gary has been a pretty big disappointment to me lately. It looked for awhile like Parsons was opening things up for him but he’s been a total no-show in November.

Also, Van Ness, two unproductive seasons and now in year 3, can’t stay healthy. Firmly in “bust” territory for me.

How folks hold health issues against a guy is beyond me. These are full grown, honestly oversized than typical specimens literally manhandling folks. Crap happens. LVN has been awesome arguably since about mid-season last year on, and even before that he was just that roller coaster young but raw guy.

After the last two weeks, I was definitely satisfied to just get a win again yesterday.

However, the 2025 version of the Packers has been one of the most frustrating ones to watch in recent memory. Almost every week, you watch them and think — “they’re ok, but they could be so much more.”

We saw “what they could be” in Week 1 and then we haven’t seen it since.

Just to let y'all know....... It is official the Bears are in first place.
It’s quite an accomplishment. All the close losses last year have flipped to Wins this year. It’s been a long time since Chicago tasted a 1st place Division ranking this late in a season.

I'll also state this offense has now repeatedly had to change gameplans and playcalls due to star guys going down...1,000% next man up happens, but if folks don't know that their are player strengths leaned on for certain calls than I cannot help you. The second Jacobs went down I have no doube it took a play or two from the sheet....OR at minimum changes the dynamics of a play and expectations.
