He sure has fizzled last 2 outings

I hope Quintana is back for the playoffs....Miz might need to go to BP for playoffs.

Peralta, Woodruff, Priester and Quintana is my ideal playoffs rotation.

There is talk of bringing Robert Gasser up from the minors. He's been throwing well as of late.

Cubs lose....Magic # down to 3!

Going to take some Brewer magic to drop it to 2 tonight. Down 1-7 in the 6th.
Was just going to offer that last night. My count was 3 more Wins because the best the Cubs can do is advance by 1/2 game increments etc.

Philly is also a team to watch. They are closing in on the playoff seeding gap and own a Tiebreaker (head to head).

These next 5 games will determine a #1 seed for Milwaukee if they just remain even with Philly. Milwaukee just getting on a little streak like W3 would be massive in seeding.

Hoping Contreras isn't injured! That would be a big blow!

While Philly is a team to watch, the Brewers have the tie breaker on them, with a 4-2 record during head to head.

Brewers also have the tie breaker on the Dodgers as well. We swept, vacuumed and mopped them up, 6-0.

Well ... I zonked out early last night and this is good! You know, Magic # being 1 is cool, but just beating the Cards (whom I've despised - except for their cool uniforms) just makes my day.

If the Crew pull down the #1 seed, that'll be some good bragging points for a few weeks but man, they've still got to win the playoff games. Yes, Mr. Nattering Nabob is still sitting on my shoulder whispering away. ;)

It was a great day for the Brewers. They won't and the Cubs and Phillys both lost.

The magic number for the 1st seed is 4. Not sure how important that is as far as who we play, but it is more bragging rights.

There's some talk of moving Miz to the bullpen. Thoughts?

IMO he needs more time in AAA. Nothing wrong with a 100 plus MPH fastball with good movement at the end of the pitch, but that seems to be his only solid pitch. That doesn't change if he goes to the BP. I don't think his problems stem from fatigue as much as the narrow range of his pitches, and placement. Even now, would it kill him to throw a curveball?

I'm right there with you. Don't follow the Brewers or Bucks all that much, but I was evicted from a Packers forum during the 2011 season for trying to put the brakes on the enthusiasm, and...

A few of you know I'm a Tigers fan... my team has collapsed before all our eyes. Once 25 games over .500, and a 16.5 game lead in our division at one point, we now have a 1 game lead over Cleveland.... and 1 game over Houston for the last spot in in the playoffs as a wild card team, if Cleveland over takes us. My son and I were at the Tigers/Braves game yesterday. We fought back from a 3-1 deficit to take a 5-3 lead to the 8th inning. Once again, we self destructed giving up 3 run over the last 2 innings, 2 runs in the 9th, with 2 out and 2 strikes on what would have been the final out, and a much needed win. We play on the road in Cleveland, 3 games to start the week, and end the season on the road against another playoff team, the Red Sox... I think we are cooked unless something miraculous happens... such as a sweep vs Cleveland, who has won their last 10 games in a row.

The Blue Crew is sitting at 95 wins with 7 games to go, and my only goal at the moment is that I wanna see them win 100 for the first time. I think it would mean a lot to them psychologically, and I know it would mean a lot to the fans. They are one of only seven teams never to break 100 (including the Blue Jays and the Rangers), and I think that after a superb season this year, the fans and the team deserve to chalk up that milestone in recognition of what an incredible effort they've made.

Obviously, yeah... I want to see them win the Series, and I think this year is the best chance we've seen for them to do it since 82. And I've been watching them from Year One. I'm not saying that if I can only come away with one outcome (either win the Series, or win 100 games), I'd prefer to win 100 games... I'm just saying that on our path to win the Series, it would mean a lot to break that "100-game" barrier. One more metric to measure what a special season they've had in 2025.

I think it's very possible; we're at 95 wins, with 7 games to go, and ferankly we're playing the last 7 against some pretty middle-of-the-road teams. It's very possible we could play .715 baseball against these teams, go 5-2... it'd be a great way to go into October, on a roll like that. Give them something to feel great about.

But then again... once we've clinched the #1 seed, which could come with several games left to go, it might be wiser to rest some key players (especially pitchers). It's not like we're going to be fighting for a good seed right down to the last day (at least, I hope not.

So, yeah... unlikely we're going to see that play out.... but, it's still a nice thought. They had a tough spell in early September, and that really dampened their prospects for winning 100. But it'll still be a truly magical season.

Brewers new Magic Number is 3, which is the number to end the season with the best record in all of baseball and assure themselves of homefield advantage through the end of their postseason play.

The only 2 teams that can catch the Brewers are the Jays in the AL and the Phillies in the NL.

The Brewers hold the tie breaker on both teams.

All 3 teams have 6 regular season games remaining.

The Jays would have to win out, while the Brewers would have to lose out, for the Jays to pass the Brewers. Technically, the magic number with the Jays is 1.

So realistically, the Brewers are probably only "worried" about what the Phillies do. So a combination of wins by the Brewers and losses by the Phillies, that add up to 3, assures the Brewers of HF advantage in the NL.

Go Brew Crew!

Appears Murph and the Brewers aren't concerned about winning 100 or locking up home field advantage.

They might as well let Anthony Seigler pitch until his arm tires or they run out of baseballs. Plus, the Brewer outfielder hasn't been getting much playing time as of late.

Only silver lining is Philly lost their last L2. It’s Marlins 6-5 but a loss tonight to Miami starts closing the Window. Might get a Philly L3 streak

Given how spoty their play has been the last couple of weeks, I think 100 has been a lost cause for several days already. But there's a lot of value in having any possible Game 7 at home. I'm still hoping for that.
