Let me know if you spot an error - Lord knows there probably is one or two...seems not all the future contracts we have signed were in media stories.

I find it odd Ramiz isn't signed to a futures...we signed a different kicker to one though. Odd.

For the record I would really like them to bring back Justin Hollins - he meshed well, performed admirably and is young - and MOST IMPORTANTLY won't cost a lot.

Seeing a lot of the tight end from Georgia Washington being a draft pick of ours. I wish the other Georgia tight end Bowers was available this year but he has at least one more year at Georgia. That kid is a matchup nightmare.

Two very different styles however. Darnell I like but not before our second rounder...he is a strong blocker and willing - he would quickly be a guy with a lot of snaps for us.

Thank you. Last year I found this thread very informative and helpful. It prevented me from posting stupid questions multiple times. Hopefully others follow suit.

Where was he hiding this year? IR? I don't recall hearing his name.

Inactive most game days...not a good sign. Even Ballentine, late season signing, was active over him and saw snaps on ST mainly but still SJC no showed.

I think Ramiz got hurt before the queens game. Maybe they cut him? Then they signed that other kicker..that they didn't offer a futures contract to. Now they signed this other kicker to one..strange.

We’ve done good overall on acquiring experienced leftovers from other teams. I know you can’t build an entire Roster that way, but I wonder what type of team you’d have if they took the best of the leftovers (beyond your 6-7 main guys in each phase) and did a few more of those Hollins, Ford, Wilson, Leavitt, Nixon type signings.

Of our in house free agents the ones above I would consider re-signing. Amos did take a step backwards, but for the right price he is a veteran. I'm not sure of the free agents out there, but he knows the system and at the very least would be serviceable. I liked Reed. He was solid depth. Nothing flashy, but you need some of those guys to fill out your roster. Crosby I'd bring back on a one year deal. I'm guessing he probably is going to retire though. Leavitt is kind of the same as Reed. You need depth and that is what he provides. I liked the addition of Ford. I'm not sure if I would want him as the starting safety, but he is a solid special teams player and you need those guys too. Nixon is the same as Ford to me. He's worth it just for special teams. Hollins started playing well down the stretch. Push comes to shove, the only one on the list that I really feel we need to bring back is Nixon. The other one that is border line is Amos for his experience. We are not really losing anything special in this list of free agents.

I saw he attended a Milwaukee Bucks game a few days ago. Donald Driver was there too. Do these fellas live in GB/WI?

Nope, Driver went back to around his home town of Houston - BUT has been very active in Wisconsin and his Donald Driver Foundation operates out of Texas and Wisconsin.

He bought a loft in the Milwaukee area from Jabari Parker when he left. Its where he stays when in Wisc.

As I said, I wouldn't mind him coming back for another season. In the same respect, I wouldn't lose any sleep if he wasn't a Packer anymore and landed somewhere else.

That's where I'm at with this situation at the moment.

I hold both the Packers and Rodgers equally responsible for this unnecessary drama.

Someone needs to quickly make a decision, stand firm, and keep it moving.

Unfortunately, that someone is Aaron Rodgers.

The Packers only leverage is trading him. Regardless, they either pay his gigantic contract or they get a ton of dead money on the cap. Also, Rodgers gave a timeline. He would let them know by March.

That's not leverage.

That would be the last resort.

Rodgers has all the leverage.

If traded to a poor situation, he would retire.

That's basically what I was saying. The only way for the Packers to win anything in terms of money is by trading him. That's still a gigantic cap hit. From what I understand, and I'm not cap expert, it would be a $40m cap hit that can be carried over the course of two seasons.

He may not need it. Still, that would be a lot of money to retire from.
