Ok more info is coming out. Apparently, for some odd reason, Bennett ran from the police and was caught, arrested and detained until he was cleared of any wrong doing. Question is why did he run? Police were looking for a shooting suspect. If he didn't do anything wrong why run from the police? Bennett was seen hiding in a casino? Why was he hiding in a casino? This is getting weird.
The crouching down in a casino is weird for sure as that part was never brought up by Bennett in his story at all. He said he started running after he heard gunshots. He made it sound like he was out on the street with a bunch of other people. The two stories are become a bit different. The gun to his head still would be a bit excessive.

Sorry to hear! Don't worry, man, your sis and your bro-in-law will be ok! She will be on the weaker side of the hurricane. I don't want to down play this storm as it will be a major hurricane being a CAT 4/5. However, if you want to be on the right side of the storm when this hits then she is in the right area to be in. Hopefully it continues to go on an eastern track. Looks like Miami will be hit ******* Sunday though.

BTW your brother-in-law doesn't wear a toupee right?
No, but it is thinner than it used to be. He might need one though if he pokes his head out the door to look around.

Well to say how you are feeling I would be lying, but even though I am brand new here and you don't know me at all I will be keeping you and your family in my thoughts during this awful storm. Being now on the East Coast living in NorthEast Maryland my parents have also looked at Hurricane Irma's path and even though it will have severely died down by next Tuesday and Wednesday we should also get some heavy rain and wind from it. Like I said I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and please keep us all updated. I know I'm new here and just a kid but I do know the impact a storm like this can have even though I have never lived in it before.
Thanks! Stay safe.

For me it will be extremely tough to concentrate on the game. My sister and brother-in-law made a choice to stay put in Ft. Myers. They would not budge despite all the good advice and pleading that's been given by a multitude of officials, family and friends. She is the caregiver for a quadriplegic that lives in in their neighborhood. She won't abandon him and my brother-in-law won't abandon her. Meanwhile, I'll be pacing the floor. That has already begun in earnest.

If the storm veers to a more Westerly track they may take the dreaded direct hit. Survival would be miraculous. I was just there a few weeks ago and the building in which they plan to take shelter is hardly up to the task no matter what track the storm will take, especially if it's Westerly. If it takes the currently projected Eastern track my cousins and a close friend will take a direct hit -- Miami and Port Orange, respectively -- although as of 36 hours ago they have all given assurances that they will be evacuating in-time.

It's going to be a no-win situation as far as I'm concerned. I'm hoping the game will be somewhat of a distraction for me but I seriously doubt it. :(
One of my sisters lives just outside Fort Lauderdale. She had planned since last spring for her annual trip to Wisconsin for this weekend. She moved her flight up to sun up tomorrow from later in the day. She'll weather the storm in Wisconsin. I have another sister near Orlando. I do not know her plans.

Not sure about that IF he fit the description of the shooter and was being taken into custody until he was cleared. Anyway, not looking good for Micheal Bennett!

I know if I heard gun shots and I was outside in the open I would run and try to find a spot to get behind something as fast as I can. It doesn't seem like he was outside though from what the Police report is saying which makes his story seem a bit weird. Also why did he wait so long to report the whole thing? I think it will come down to what the Cop says and what Bennett says. Since the cops camera was working or on which seems to be the case most of the time in these cases I don't know what good video they will get unless other officers were right up on Bennett at the time he was on the ground.

The updated forecast for Green Bay, WI. on Sunday is -4 at kick off, windchills at -30, possibly 6-10" of snow by the end of the game. Do you need my address to send your tickets to? :D

Sherman on the injury report :whistling:

I wouldn't get too excited. Sherman has had a thigh injury for awhile now and is a full participant at practices. He will suit up and play Sunday. Also, Thomas Rawls who some thought might not play a lot on Sunday, was a full participant at practice today. So we may see less of Eddie.

The very latest projections has the storm moving further West, splitting the State. I hope your sister in Orlando decided to evacuate.

When do cop's cameras "work" when the cops did something wrong? Maybe I am reading the "wrong" articles but if shots are fired around me, I am running for cover. I don't care if I am white, black, yellow or pink, my skin color isn't stopping a bullet. Nor is me being 6' 4" tall and 275#. But as Michael Bennet witnessed first hand, the color of his skin sure did stop the cops....from trusting he was just as innocent as the rest of the people running and hiding.

http://www.totalprosports.com/2017/...-bennett-had-a-gun-pointed-at-his-head-video/

you guys judge for yourself. Bennett claims in his letter that he was targeted because of his skin color. ummmm watch the video. I doubt that was the case.

the link i provided shows a police cam inside the casino. Btw...as you can see in the casino proves he wasn't the only black guy in the area. At the end you can hear officers yell someone is running. I suppose that was Bennett. LOL This guy's credibility is shot!

"Original video showed no gun and some began to question his motives, but then an alternate body cam video was released and it indeed showed that the Seahawks defensive end was telling the truth all along."

Again, I don't have all the details or probably the facts, but if you believe his credibility was shot because he was running during a full on shooting incident in a location being swarmed by other people running and police officers, I would hate to find out what he should do in a situation of a fire?

Also, if you don't think there is a chance the way he was treated was possibly racial profiling, then you might want to Google the topic.

Maybe because of the history of this subject I am too quick to defend Bennett, but I think due to the color of his skin, sadly.....there are too many people who are too quick to jump to conclusions as to who this person is in their minds.

I've seen enough to know people are treated differently all the time. Profiling and racism aren't always the problem, but they are problems. At this point this incident is like so many others where everyone that wasn't there is so sure of what happened. I'm talking in general, not people on this thread. Read a couple FB feeds and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about

watch the video of the police in the casino sweeping the area. That will answer many valuable questions.

Agreed. As I said, I don't have all the facts and am basing my opinion thus far from history and what I have read and been able to read so far on the incident. Was Bennett a plausible suspect? Sure, but then so were the other 100's of people running and ducking for cover.

The Packers absolutely can not lose this game! It is in Green Bay, they have had all off-season to prepare for the Seahawks. Seahawks have always had a strong defense but the Packers offensive line is solid. The best left tackle in football, Bulaga solid right tackle, 6 time pro bowler in Evans, Linsley is solid and so is Taylor. Pro Bowl TE in Bennett, Kendricks is solid. Nelson, Adams and Cobb. Rodger is phenomenal in pressure games. Montgomery has to protect the football.
The pieces are there for a great season. If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best defenses. Rodgers will throw 4 TDs, Crosby will add 2 FGs Packers 34- Seahawks 17

If the Packers look as bad as the Patriots in Weeks 1 and 2 I will be worried about making playoffs. Luckily for the Pats, their division is a joke so they can lose 4 out of the gate and still be golden.

I appreciate your optimism, but incase you aren't aware, the Seahawks have had just as much time to prepare as the Packers. ;)

Everyone is talking about the impact Richardson will make but the Packers have a few new faces that will help. Bennett, Evans, Brooks, Dial and Odom. Kendricks too.
