I've posted before that MLF needs to go after the season. Getting a better replacement is not guaranteed. There is risk but if you don't get rid of MLF, you won't have the chance of getting somebody better who could get the team over the hump.

If you stick with MLF, you run a very high risk that the team that we've seen choke in big games the past 7 seasons is going to be the one we continue to see in future seasons.
I'm not advocating for him to stay. If they fire him, I definitely get it.... just like if he gets an extension after the season, I can understand that happening also. I guess we will see what Mr Policy decides to do after the season is over.

One more thing, Thank you all for allowing me into the realm. I only try to be respectful of all the games that we deal with. As long as we have fun, that is what life is all about.
Are we having fun now?

Are you all still in the hunt?
Yes @SeahawkFan80 We’re 7th seed and if Detroit loses any of the next 3 games + the Packers Win just 1 of its 2 games left? GB is in.

Oddly, we almost want Chicago winning going forward through regular season. They can knock Detroit out for us or move up into a 2nd seed. We matchup good with them. I still think GB would beat Chicago 3 of 5 times in Chicago after watching that.

I think you should be careful what you hope for. The chances of having a higher Win % than Matt/Hafley is going to be extremely difficult to attain. Expect at best to go backwards a couple seasons. I still think we’re several pieces away from being really dynamic.

1. A shutdown CB
Nixon is a CB3 and he’s best suited for the Slot. Where he was earlier.

2, Micah healthy
It goes without saying that he upgrades the D as a whole.

3. Kraft healthy
We forget he was playing like a top
1-2 TE leaguewide. It’s like Mahomes losing Kelce imo.

4. At minimum 1 upgrade at OL either at Center or Guard. Theres something missing on our OL. They aren’t bad. They just are not what we’re accustomed to.
You could add those pieces and they still wouldn't win. They added Parsons and that didn't stop losses from becoming a major debacle.

Getting a new coach carries risk. He could be worse. No doubt but you also give yourself the chance that he could be better and finally get a talented team over the hump.

I think that Gute deserves more time. I think he's been let down by MLF. The team plays beneath its talent level.

The whole “who we gonna get if we fire him and how do we know he’ll be better” is an age old argument.

I don’t know. We’ll conduct interviews and find someone. No one was saying “Matt Lafleur” when we asked this question 8 years ago.

The fear of the unknown is why we held onto Dom Capers about 3-4 years too long.

Our chances of winning in WKS 17 and 18 were very high a week ago. Now they have sunk to rock bottom. We have to sign a QB this week possibly.

I mean, shoot. If we were worried about not being able to find a guaranteed improvement we should’ve never fired McCarthy. At least he won us the big one lol

Interesting take, but I don't see that talent It all begins up front and in my opinion that's where BG has failed.

Correct. Everyone likes to make fun of McCarthy but his resume is basically Matt Lafleur except with an actual Super Bowl.

I’ve been a fan for 30-some years and I have to say that’s gotta be one of the top-5 worst losses I’ve ever seen out of us.

I see they hired a washed up qb to play against us on thursday. I am sure there is a WSU cougar qb out there sitting on his booty looking for a job??

Sometimes the difference between a fan base wildly celebrating a brave victory in the face of significant adversity, and conducting a wild investigation into its failed team, can appear to be one player taking one eye off a bouncing ball for one hundredeth of a second.

It's possibly fair to say it's not quite as simple as that.

I'm somehow confident with Willis. We may need a back up and one for TE too. Lewis?

But then,.I don't think we've got rock.bottom. A bit.more difficult, but still better than Bears.

I think our opponents have us at the end of a rope right now. Hope we can steal one next week.
