It's a valid point. The 7th seed is barely better than the average team in the conference. Like I say, if you want to be a breath above average, MLF is your man. Want to change the culture and compete for a championship, then you'll need a new coach.
MOST OF these dudes on here think Laclown is a great coach! LOL

That's not true. I think a lot of fans think that 7 seasons of embarrassing losses in big games is enough. MLF needs to go. Perhaps the fans that think he's great and want him to stay are too sentimental.

Accusing the fans who want MLF gone of 'hating' is utter nonsense. They want another championship before they die. Maybe that's asking for too much.
Maybe he does need to go, but will the grass be greener with a new coach??? It is not guaranteed. Players lost this game, not MLF. MLF didn't fumble inside tge 5 yard line. MLF didn't Muff an onside kick. MLF didn't face mask the QB on 3rd and 20. MLF didn't fumble the snap on 4th and 1 in OT.

One guy in this forum said he is rooting for us lose our next two games in hopes that if they do, MLF will get fired... that's true hate for a guy.

So any team that hasnt won a Super Bowl in 7 years should fire their coach? (because that means either the totally suck OR they lost big /playoff games) Interesting take. Im not a huge MLF fan but he didnt grab the face mask. He didnt muff the onside kick. I think the team put up a heckuva effort.

Yes, I agree 100% it was terrible to lose the way we did. I'm emotionally invested during the game, once it's over, nothing you can do about it, so I let it go.
There’s something Ed Policy can do about it, and I think he will if we miss the playoffs. This is one of those games that makes you say, “enough is enough.”

One more thing, Thank you all for allowing me into the realm. I only try to be respectful of all the games that we deal with. As long as we have fun, that is what life is all about.

Some fans are just fine with choking as long as the team seems to sniff the playoffs. Other fans take their measure of success from Vince Lombardi and want a championship. I'm definitely in the second camp. I just don't take solace in losing and never will.

Can the Packers win a championship with Matt LaFleur? His teams choke in big games. After 7 seasons, there's plenty of evidence to show that the team is soft and unfocused. They just won't play 60 minutes.

Heckuva effort doesn't really mean anything. It's the minimum expectation to not suck. Not really a high bar there.

And pure stupidity. I don't know how many trips around the sun I have left and I'll never actively root for the Packers to lose and not make the playoffs. No coach is a guarantee they will do better. Luke Fickell should have taught us it could be much much worse.

Keep moving the goal post, to be mad at MLF, 7 teams make the Playoffs, not 6. I'm just glad I'm not as emotionally invested as you seem to be. They lost it sucks, on to the next game.
Well there’s obvious frustration and I think this time it’s somewhat deserved. All teams lose, but the hardest ones to swallow are when you lead by 2 scores mid 4th quarter.

Then this one really decided the Division and might end up deciding our postseason altogether. The only silver lining is IF GB plays at Chicago in a Wildcard. 2 v 7 seed. That’s actually our best pathway. I feel pretty good about beating The Bears at Soldier Field after watching this game. I don’t think Chicago is anywhere close to the Rams or Seattle. They might not even be the 4th best team in the NFC, just my opinion. That was definitely NOT a powerhouse team we just played. They could’ve very easily lost 16-9 on their Turf.

Most successful coaches have won a Super Bowl or at least gotten to the Super Bowl before year 7. If a coach can't get his team over the hump by year 7, why would year 8 or 9 be the one that turns it around?

Should the Packers or any other team stick with a coach year after year if he can't win the big games? It depends on how seriously you want to win a championship.

The Packers have won Super Bowls under Lombardi, Holmgren and McCarthy. They all did it by year 5. Lombardi won a championship by year 3.

They had the right players that bought into the program that made their system work. If they forgot the system they had it beat back into their system so they understood the program was what they wanted to make them work for it...the prize. Some are out there now for a freaking paycheck. So live and let live.

So we sucked tonight? Wow, I genuinely feel bad for you.

Why would you not think so? We scored 1 TD in 5 visits to RZ, multiple stupid effin errors to gift the game away all through, and eventually our persistence paid off, leaving us with an uphill battle just to make playoffs.

I feel bad for the Def who kept us in the game all through 4Q except the final 2 mins. Silver linings in Willis and O-Line, but other than that, yeah we sucked.

The fact that Bears sucked way more seems to have skewed your thoughts. By no means a dominant or confident performance that bodes well for playoffs.

I've posted before that MLF needs to go after the season. Getting a better replacement is not guaranteed. There is risk but if you don't get rid of MLF, you won't have the chance of getting somebody better who could get the team over the hump.

If you stick with MLF, you run a very high risk that the team that we've seen choke in big games the past 7 seasons is going to be the one we continue to see in future seasons.

I think you should be careful what you hope for. The chances of having a higher Win % than Matt/Hafley is going to be extremely difficult to attain. Expect at best to go backwards a couple seasons. I still think we’re several pieces away from being really dynamic.

1. A shutdown CB
Nixon is a CB3 and he’s best suited for the Slot. Where he was earlier. He does a really good job of faking a Perimeter CB imo. Very good backup plan, but he’s inferior to almost every top Teams better CB’s.

2, Micah healthy
It goes without saying that he upgrades the D as a whole.

3. Kraft healthy
We forget he was playing like a top
1-2 TE leaguewide. It’s like Mahomes losing Kelce imo.

4. At minimum 1 upgrade at OL either at Center or Guard. Theres something missing on our OL. They aren’t bad. They just are not what we’re accustomed to.

I am a Packer fan and will always be. But 4 changes need to be made. ST coach or MLF has to go. Special teams have been a pain in their **** for decades and MLF hasn't fixed any of it. It has never been a strength under MLF and Gutey. The next change will be to fire the D back coach. I can't believe this far into the season there are so many guys wide open no one covering them. Their man to man coverage is terrible. Their techniques are terrible. He's gotta go it's been that way for a long time it's just been covered up. The last thing is those two corners have to go. One isn't real smart and the other is soft. Last of all, Brian G is on the hot seat too. If he can't find tougher players, he can go too. He has a team of soft players and his lines stink. #1 draft choice made his usual guest appearance. What a mess. My patience is almost all gone.

I don’t care about a higher win %. I care about a Super Bowl.
