The way the season and that Playoff game ended, I ended up in the fire LaFleur camp. I felt we needed a new leader, a new vision. Being how he has now been extended, and I'm a Packers fan first and foremost, good luck and bring us another title. I really hope you prove me and everyone else who wanted you fired, wrong.

Yeah, I got caught up in the heat too. I just get mad when he calls plays that I am usually right that they are not going to work. But we always were going to keep him and after all I'm a Green Bay Packers fan. Wow was that Denver game something else. I would have been angry at LaFleur if he would have called all those 1st down run calls in ot. I do hope we change out a few coaches but I've been reminded that keeping my blood pressure down is actually more important since I have no say in the other. So...GoPackGo! And LaFleur too.

Hopefully Matt will prove us wrong.

I do think Brian is a better GM than Matt is a HC. So together they are at least competitive. Brian had a down year bringing in talent at the worst possible time.
Golden. Barely used him but started strong, went MIA and then finished strong.

Belton barely used and inconsistent

Savion barely used but showed promise

Sorrell. Barely used but showed promise

Oliver. Injured the entire year

Brinson. Actually used moderate to low as rotational. Showed some glimpses of promise.

John Williams. Never played and injured an entire season.

Free agent Aaron Banks. Played regularly but was substantially overpaid and underperformed

Free agent Matthew Dobbs overlapped current strength and underperformed.

Feel bad for Denver, won the game and lost Nix for the remainder of the Playoffs with a broken bone in his ankle.

The whole idea of " Trading " MLF is like George Steinbrenner trading George Costanza.
Yeah that talk of trading MLF was silly, and your analogy is great milani!

I just saw this am that MLF has been extended and the org structure, with GM, HC, and VP of Operations all still reporting to Policy.

I'm fine with bringing MLF back. But I expected the organization to change so MLF reported to Gluten. As it looks this am, nothing has changed except MLF will be making about $7 mil more/year.

I also expect(ed) some changes in how MLF manages the team. He needs someone to help him with clock management, at a minimum. And he needs an OC with some fresh ideas that will be used. He also needs a new STs coach. Too bad what happened with Bisaccia, but it's time to move on.

All-in-all, very disappointing to me that their weren't bigger changes. Maybe there's more to come. I hope there's more to come.

I didn't catch that D, thanks for the news. I'm no Denver fan, but I wouldn't wish this on any team (OK, maybe the Bears.....).

When was he hurt? I didn't watch the game but know Denver won on a FG in overtime.

I still think he has to improve his performance on game day. Having a great playbook means little if you do not manage the game.

If he stays, I do think we will likely get more of the same. The only thing that makes me think otherwise is because maybe Parsons comes back mid to late season and gives a big boost to the team for a late run - right when MLF's teams usually give up for the season and start phoning it in.

The problem with replacing MLF is I don't know who could come in and be our "Ben Johnson".
Hi rmontro. Nothing changes if nothing changes. I didn't support whacking MLF, but did expect org changes so MLF reports to Gluten, and some coaching changes so MLF gets some much needed help with clock management, and a new voice at OC with some new ideas. MLF's play calling has gone stale.

Some of that may still happen. But my takeaway is it's business as usual at 1265. That's disappointing.

The only silver lining, now MLF gets a chance to beat Johnson twice a year again. I like that. Go Rams!

I believe it was on the long pass interference preceding the kneel down. You cannot break an ankle in a kneel down. Or should not.

How many fans will be emotionally invested if he stays? The outcome will be the same as the last several years. We continue to be locked in a Groundhog Day, season after season. Kind of done with it.
Nicely said C. It is hard to stay emotionally invested in any team that does the same thing over and over, with the same unsatisfying results. That's also one definition of insanity.

This is disappointing. I thought that between Policy, Gluten, and MLF they could have done something to make clear that it won't be business as usual next year. That may still happen - but right now, this feels like MLF being rewarded for mediocrity. They can do better. Anyone who watched the last two losses to the Bears knows that they can do better, injuries or not.

On a slightly different tack, the Sehawks led the Niners by 18 points, three possessions at halftime last night, 24-6. Sound familiar? The difference is that Seattle realized that football is played for 60 minutes, not 30, and they addded 17 more points while shutting out the Niners in the 2H. Final score, Seahags 41, Niners 6. That's how it's done.

What could have been........

Hmm, I wonder if a Packer could sustain a season-ending ACL tear on a kneel down, or a broken ankle, or whatever....... This was the year for it.

Thanks milani. Oh wow that it came so close to the end of regulation makes it worse. Nix has become a v good NFL QB. Hate to see this happen to any player, but especially being so close to a championship.

The adage, often phrased as
"A tiger can't change its stripes" or "a leopard can't change its spots," means a person's fundamental nature, character, or inherent traits are fixed and won't change, especially if those traits are negative.
Well, time will tell.
Takes a good gm or ceo to see if the shoe fits and then deal with it promptly.

The Packers are the guy at your office that has worked there 20 years even though it’s not that great but it pays the bills and will work there another 20 years, constantly being passed on for promotions that he believes he was in line for, until retirement rather than ever chasing anything bigger.

I think it’s an ankle fracture. Which sucks and is terrible timing. I like Bo he’s got some wheels to his game.
This actually could be a blessing in 2026 or he might’ve missed all of next year has it been an ACL etc

I wonder if there was a bounty on him (asking for a friend)
Well, there was a roughing the passer penalty a few plays before the second interference penalty that was declined. And it was totally unnecessary.

Ironic, that my wife just had surgery this week for a broken ankle injury she suffered in a car accident. Nix is scheduled for his surgery Tuesday.

Oh, I could definitely see that happening to the Packers. Our guys could fracture an ankle getting on the plane.

That was a good game. One thing that struck me was the speed of the quarterbacks, both of them looked faster than Love. I'm not that familiar with the Broncos, so I don't know if they have a good backup or not. It is rotten luck for them. I confess I was rooting for the Bills though. They kind of remind me of the Packers, in the playoffs every year, but can't seem to break through. Besides, I've never quite forgiven Denver for beating us in Super Bowl XXXII, and also if they win they pull even with us with four Super Bowls.

Obviously a deficiency in the Broncos medical and conditioning staff

Just a thought. This reminded me of studying Jordan’s RAS coming into the NFL. He’s nearly identical to Aaron Rodgers athletic profile. I’m talking some aspects were off by .02 hundredths etc.

After 3 years I’m noticing Love doesn’t go down as easily, but Aaron had a sliver better play manipulation to get that 1st down.

Aaron is still the only QB to rank top 10 rushing and top 10 passing. He knocked off John Elway recently.

#5 passing
#9 rushing

I would've liked to see Buffalo get there too. Definitely see your analysis of the speed of the two QB's.... however, Allen also had 4 turnovers ( 2 Int's, 2 fumbles), and they lost in OT.
