They took Detroit to the mat but couldn't keep them there. Hopefully they shot their *** and will meekly go away. Time for that species to hibernate anyway.

I haven't been keeping up with them, but it seems they've been playing better. Still losing, but playing better. This is no time to lose focus.

Indeed. Cannot look past them.

I'll take anything that results in the Packers scoring more points than the Bears, but I want to see an annihilation. 2014 style.

Barkley at QB has given the offense calm, confidence and leadership. Not the greatest arm but doesn't make stupid passes regularly. They'd have at least 2 more Wins (IMHO) if they had young receivers who could hand-catch instead of letting the ball into their pads/helmet where it bounces out frequently. Drops killed them against Detroit yesterday, and a record-setting (for drops) against Tennessee in Nov.

D gets good pressure on the QB, so AR needs to continue getting the ball out fast and not thinking he has 5 seconds to make a downfield throw... he won't have 5 seconds often. Jordan Howard is a stud at RB if GB lets him get rolling.

We certainly have to guard against overconfidence in this one. We just whooped a good team and went all out, we're going on the road with a big game against Minny next week. In the NFL you gotta take care of business week in and week out, so no place for calling this a gimme at all.

Totally agree.

Da Bears may be viewing Sundays game as their Super Bowl. I expect them to come out motivated and fired up to beat the Packers, doing whatever they can to help spoil the Packers playoff hopes. No looking past this one, keep taking one game at a time!

Alshon Jeffery is back from his 4 game suspension and will either be fired-up with a chip on his shoulder OR checked-out and acting like a me-first, moody teenager. He is a receiver capable of catching the ball, so if his head is in the game could be a dangerous weapon.

A win on Sunday is important in the playoff race, but a win would also finally tie up the series record between the 2 teams @94 wins and 6 ties each. I could be wrong, but I don't think the series has ever been tied (except at 0-0) nor have the Packers ever been ahead in wins.

The Packers last led the series vs. the Bears after the 1932 season at 11-10-4. It was tied several times earlier but never again since Chicago took over the lead with three wins in 1933.

Yup, the NFL's oldest continuous rivalry will finally be tied if the Packers win. Right now the regular season record is 94-93-6 for Da Bears but Green Bay has been dominant over the past quarter century rolling to a 46-13 record since 1992. (the game that changed the course of the rivalry: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/199211220chi.htm)

Soldier Field has been "home away from home" for the Pack at 20-6 over the last 26 seasons, including the NFC Championship Game victory in 2010. The Packers have won in Chicago their last 6 straight times. http://www.packers.com/photos/photo...18b059cc#977b09cb-e621-433e-ba23-9d1b98038b66

That's something I have been waiting 40 years for. Could have done it last year with a sweep.

Talking about a high of 2 and a low of -11 degrees in Chicago on sunday. Wonder if that will have any effect on AR's nagging injuries...

AR needs to get GB a 31 point lead by half-time and then he can stay bundled-up for the 2nd half while Hundley closes out the game ;).

bears will let the packs win. even though we have one of the most hated relationships, this will be a moment where foes will be friends for once.

*cue the dramatic music* New Pepsi commercial: A cute kid wearing a Green Bay jersey gives The Fridge a Pepsi, Fridge then turns around and says, "hey kid, catch!" and tosses a bag of Big Macs...I mean his jersey to the kid. The kid goes home and auctions off the jersey for the cost of the Pepsi he gave The Fridge. Perry was the one who won the auction and gave the kid a "AAAAA++++ great seller will buy again!!!!!!"

Yup, the NFL's oldest continuous rivalry
Yeah about that myth:
The oldest NFL rivalry, dating back to when the league was founded in 1920, consists of its two remaining charter members: the Decatur Staleys/Chicago Bears and Chicago/St. Louis/Phoenix/Arizona Cardinals. The longest rivalry is between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears (they did not play each other in 1982 due to the player's strike, though). It dates back to 1921. The longest continuous rivalry in the NFL is between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers, as they have played each other at least twice every season since 1932.

Can't look past these young hungry Bears. On Defense the way the rookie Leo Floyd is playing and the way Rodgers mobility is limited is making me sweat. Also Eddie Goldman is a force up the middle and Linsley will have hands full. On offense Howard is a back that can extend drives for them and keep ARod off field. Cody Whithair is a stud for their Oline helping Barkley keep it moving. Finally Jeffrey is back and may be a consistent target for Barkley. Our CBs will need to keep up the goodwork vs him big time. All in all I think the Pack is Hungry and wins this one 28-14!!!
