They took Detroit to the mat but couldn't keep them there. Hopefully they shot their *** and will meekly go away. Time for that species to hibernate anyway.
Indeed. Cannot look past them.I haven't been keeping up with them, but it seems they've been playing better. Still losing, but playing better. This is no time to lose focus.

We certainly have to guard against overconfidence in this one. We just whooped a good team and went all out, we're going on the road with a big game against Minny next week. In the NFL you gotta take care of business week in and week out, so no place for calling this a gimme at all.
Packers will miss Jay Cutler.

A win on Sunday is important in the playoff race, but a win would also finally tie up the series record between the 2 teams @94 wins and 6 ties each. I could be wrong, but I don't think the series has ever been tied (except at 0-0) nor have the Packers ever been ahead in wins.
Yup, the NFL's oldest continuous rivalry will finally be tied if the Packers win. Right now the regular season record is 94-93-6 for Da Bears but Green Bay has been dominant over the past quarter century rolling to a 46-13 record since 1992.
That's something I have been waiting 40 years for. Could have done it last year with a sweep.
AR needs to get GB a 31 point lead by half-time and then he can stay bundled-up for the 2nd half while Hundley closes out the game .Talking about a high of 2 and a low of -11 degrees in Chicago on sunday. Wonder if that will have any effect on AR's nagging injuries...
Yeah about that myth:Yup, the NFL's oldest continuous rivalry
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Football_League_rivalriesThe oldest NFL rivalry, dating back to when the league was founded in 1920, consists of its two remaining charter members: the Decatur Staleys/Chicago Bears and Chicago/St. Louis/Phoenix/Arizona Cardinals. The longest rivalry is between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears (they did not play each other in 1982 due to the player's strike, though). It dates back to 1921. The longest continuous rivalry in the NFL is between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers, as they have played each other at least twice every season since 1932.
