Good estimates for so early in the year. MM will be full of surprises after the preseason.
Don't now how Bush continues to make the roster. Great ST player. But when he makes a play on defense it is the shot heard round the world. Great to have a kicker, punter, long snapper in place. Let's not forget the importance of a consistent holder.
Strong concern for back up of Rodgers. Do we need a veteran? Concussions??
Don't feel too good about RB. If Starks has to carry that much of the load with no Grant he'll get hurt at some point again. Green and Saine both had injuries last year. At least Brandon Jackson lasted when Grant went down in 2010. Wish Grant could come back but that is too un-Thompson like of a wish.
I hope Sherrod will be able to go this year. His broken leg came in Week 15 in KC. He did not get a lot of reps last season. Newhouse wins the job for now at LT. And if TT tries to let Driver go he'll probably be tarred and feathered and dumped off at the Metrodome.

I think that DL competition is going to be a really interesting one. TT didn't bring in three vets with tread left on the tires just to look-see- if Wilson, Wynn and Neal don't get their stuff together, then they'll be playing for someone else.

With Guy, he's one player I think we might see the long and patient view on even though he was a late round pick. He was on IR last year, never played a down because of a concussion. He was young coming out and really raw, but he has the length and size you tend to prefer in a 34 DE, something we really don't have much of at that spot. The only other guy who gives us similar size and length is Merling, and he's out of shape right now. I'm really hoping that he goes home from Minicamps and hits it hard. I'd love to see him come in with a chip on his shoulder to show the Dolphins at the rest of the teams that ignored him that they were missing something big and use that big body.

In any case, the message has been sent to the entire crew- I'd say the only guys who can be confident they'll be around come game one are Raji, Pickett and Neal (if he gets his suspension for Adderall lifted). The rest better be ON...

All our long snapper does is ST, why not Bush?

I've believed in Harrel since we let Flynn go because I believe in McCarthy's School of QB

Grant is getting long in the tooth. True, injury is a concern, but the Lions made it to the post didn they? Personally I'd bring back Ahman Green before Grant.

For now... I still hope Sherrod can beat him out later on. He has so much more potential. I still joke that Newhouse let Hali in on purpose because it was the only way he could ever beat Sherrod.
And if TT tries to let Driver go he'll probably be tarred and feathered and dumped off at the Metrodome.
Especially after restructuring his deal.

No DJ Williams at TE?
He's a short receiving TE with little production last year while Taylor stepped up and said "I got hands too." He impressed a bit in the underwear league, but so did Taylor. When Crabtree comes back in TC I fully expect it to be a three way tie for the last TE spots, which means we go to ST value.

And now the more reasonable and more likely chart.

QB: RODGERS HARRELL
RB: STARKS GREEN SAINE (FB) KUHN
WR JENNINGS NELSON DRIVER COBB JONES GURLEY
TE: FINLEY CRABTREE WILLIAMS TAYLOR
OL: BULAGA SHERROD NEWHOUSE DATKO SITTON LANG DOMINGUEZ SATURDAY GENUS GOODE
DL: RAJI PICKETT WORTHY DANIELS MUIR MERLING
LB: MATTHEWS PERRY WALDEN SO'OTO JONES HAWK BISHOP MANNING SMITH
CB: WOODSON WILLIAMS SHIELDS HAYWARD HOUSE BUSH BURNETT PEPRAH MCMILLIAN JENNINGS
PS: COLEMAN BENNETT MOSS BOREL ALLARD GUY MOSES RICHARDSON
PUP QUARLESS
SUSPENDED NEAL HARGROVE

Still hope Draheim gets a shot, still think Daniels is too small, still hope Sherrod unseats Newhouse, still hope Hawk gets traded and Smith takes over, still think we kept Guy around for a reason. Also think its more likely to have 7 DL (5 LB, 6 WR pretty certain too) We'll see how things go once the pads become a factor.
I like DD but he won't be our #3 WR. Cobb will be 3rd or 4th. Gurley DD then Borel

Yeah, I think Bishop is on his way to IR. I think House will bounce back. Re-did this under new rules: Draft Picks and VFA signed that year make initial roster. PS retains top 8 of remaining UDFA talent. Everything is so crazy right now. Wells/Benson signings really messed me up and injuries are killing me. I'll try again after tonight's game should even MORE injuries occur (RAWR INJURIES!!! Cross your fingers/toes/eyes/arms/legs/etc and pray to whatever deity/deities you please that nothing ELSE happens)

Don't count out Erik Walden. Dude has actually improved his skill and strength. I think we're okay at OLB with nice depth.

Suspended so he doesn't count against initial roster.

Also, switch Brad Jones to ILB and Cooper with Boykin

You don't think Evan Dietrich-Smith hangs around on the o-line?

I think rookie Mike Daniels makes it as a DE. In fact, I think he surprises some folks...

Not a bad list...

Smug bump from jaybadger82.
