As I said last week, expected shootouts predicted in advance rarely occur.

This is true. Similarly I predicted a higher scoring with Dallas and GB but jokingly said that = the opposite. We combined for just 30 points.

Look, I have no idea what to expect this week, but saying things like "if we get pressure..", "Goff gets rattled easily...", "Goff is good for at least 1 pick..." just make no sense given what we've seen to this point in the season.

That being said, this really does seem like it has the makings of a shoot out, which I would not mind seeing at all. The Goff disrespect is just unfounded though.

The Detroit offense will put on a better show than Dallas, I think.

Huge, huge game. The NFC is going to be tight.

If they can block, I think they're winning this game. Goff aint great under pressure.

The Lions have rushed for 571 yards. 504 coming from Gibbs. Goff has thrown for 1,485 yards.

If the Packers can force the Lions to play catch up I think the Packers win...but if the Lions can just keep handing the ball off to Gibbs, I think the Lions win.

I agree, I think the Packers CAN get a W in Detroit, but I don't know that they will. The Lions have a potent offense and are at home, so the Pack will need to play good defense and win the turnover battle.

Lions have a potent offense and Gibbs may exploit our DL deficiency, but i think their stats were helped by playing some bad defenses.

Packers leads the league in Interceptions w/9.... Jared Goff has 12 TD's and 0 Picks. We need to get constant pressure on him, and if so, he should be good for at least 1 Interception. Key for me is we have to contain Gibbs, if not, our offense will need to be on point for 4 quarters.

which of these quotes regarding Goff Or the Lions is completely unfounded or inaccurate?? Sounds to me like most paid tribute to the Lions Offense. Please explain who you are scolding for our collective disrespect to Jared Goff??

I think you are reaching a bit, I think we all respect Goff. We need pressure, and have to make him uncomfortable, cuz if he sits in a clean pocket he will pick us apart. I'm anticipating a back and forth game.

Goff does have a good OL, but no QB is totally immune to pocket pressure. We might not have Parsons, but we do have numerous players who will Rush off the Edge or split a crease with pretty good speed.

They have put up points. Lost in a shootout to the Bills. Escaped in one they could have lost vs. New Orleans. Pounded Arizona. Snuck by the Jets. But have they faced a good defense yet? They have not faced the Bears, Vikings, nor the Packers yet.
Now the Cowboys statistically came in with a top offense as well. Yet, the last 2 games they were AWOL.

I think what I’d be concerned with as
a Lions fan would be the glaring imbalance from Offense to Defense. Sure Goff n Co can put up points, but their D has not shown capable to shut down a good Offense. I’d label the Packers as a good Offense. Possibly even Offense with an upward trajectory if they get Josh back and Kevin plugged in.
