Yeah. Loved that day, but I can tell you that Packers fans in the barbershops of Manitowoc and probably across the state we NOT enamored with Favre's performance that day.

All I could say was "Christ guys, give him a chance." ...and I wasn't referring to Favre, I was referring Holmgren.

Owning a hindsight crystal ball gives us a lot of latitude, doesn't it? Holmgren's teams were right in the mix right up to and including his final season. Fans were jumping on Holmgren right out of the blocks.

Exactly. In Holmgren's case, the fans were feeding off of the print media in Milwaukee when Holmgren didn't produce BIG results immediately. Today's fans would have been screaming for his head by '94.
