Pre Season starts Saturday for the Pack and this is what I got for our roster. 53 players and I put some possible practice squad names down as well. Oh and I was rather bored. :D

I came up with this from what I've seen in scrimmage and practices and from what the coaches seem to be doing.

Offense
QB: Brett Favre Aaron Rodgers Ingle Martin (R)
RB: Samkon Gado Ahman Green Najeh Davenport Noah Herron
FB: William Henderson Najeh Davenport Noah Herron
WR: Donald Driver Rod Gardner Cory Rodgers (R)
WR: Greg Jennings (R) Robert Ferguson Cory Rodgers (R)
TE: Bubba Franks Donald Lee David Martin
LT: Chad Clifton Junius Coston
LG: Daryn Colledge (R) Tupe Peko
C: Scott Wells Chris White
RG: Jason Spitz (R) Junius Coston
RT: Mark Tauscher Will Whitticker

Defense
DE: KGB Michael Montgomery
DT: Ryan Pickett Corey Williams Colin Cole
DT: Kendrick Allen Cullen Jenkins Johnny Jolley (R)
DE: Aaron Kampman Kenny Peterson
WLB: AJ Hawk Roy Manning
MLB: Nick Barnett Abdul Hodge (R)
SLB: Ben Taylor Brady Poppinga
CB: Al Harris Mike Hawkins Will Blackmon (R)
CB: Charles Woodson Ahmad Carroll Will Blackmon
FS: Nick Collins Tyron Culver (R)
SS: Marquand Manuel Marvel Underwood

Special Teams
K: Billy Cundiff
P: Jon Ryan
LS: Rob Davis
KR: Cory Rodgers & Najeh Davenport
PR: Charles Woodson Cory Rodgers Greg Jennings

Possible Names for Practice Squad:
WR: Ruvell Martin
WR: Chad Lucas
OL: Tony Moll (R)
DE: Dave Tollefson (R)
LB: Kurt Campbell
C: Wayne Lucier

Note: Gado is starting because he's getting the reps right now, until I see Green back healthy I have Gado starting

I would agree with absolutely everything except i could see Ferguson or Gardner getting the chop and Ruvell Martin sneaking in.

I like Noah Herron, but I can't see us carrying 4 HBs. Cutting him and taking Vonta Leach is way more likely.

Yeah I had trouble with that but from what I've seen, Herron has looked good and Leach hasn't. McCarthy also wants a FB to be more athletic and have good hands. Leach is more of a power blocker. Davenport was drafted as a FB so he could play it. Herron could as well.

I think Thompson is going to keep the 5 best backs. I could be wrong but that's just the feeling I'm getting.

I like all the WR so its hard for me to pick them but I'd like to see

1 Driver
2 Ferguson
3 Gardner
4 Jennings
5 Rodger

Zone blocking system has less emphasis on a blocking FB and that is what Leach is. It has more emphasis on catching out of the backfield so Henderson and one of the RBs would be better for it. I don't see Leach making it.

If Herron makes it it will be as a HB. He will not play FB. Davenport is the only guy that could and he can't be relied on to stay healthy. I think Leach is a no-brainer

I cant see us having 4 either. But I would rather we have Herron than Leach.

If Leach could show that he can be a recieving threat out of the backfield I would agree that Leach is staying, but like I said, if I understand it right, the zone blocking scheme means that there isn't a need for a big blocking fullback as much as there is for a recieving fullback.
