IMO - most of his problems stemmed from not being able to control Rodgers once Aaron's ego got a death grip on the team. Sure he could have been more innovative, but I think that some of that falls on what Rodgers wanted and the control he was able to exert over Mike in the second half of his career.

I'll take a Super Bowl every +/-14 years (1996, 2010)....hey, that means that we are due!

I think his inability to get receivers open his last couple years was the big problem. He just seemed to refuse to change his offensive scheme even though it wasn't working worth a damn. Since hardly anybody got open; I don't blame it at all on Rodgers.

Also held on to Capers too long. But his replacements didn't do any better, so it probably didn't make that big of a difference. Difficulty in choosing a defensive coordinator then.

We are due. But I don't really get the feeling that we're knocking on the doorstep, unfortunately.

I remember Holmgren getting big as a house too. Andy Reid? Those 3 were pretty thin as assistants and got big enough to block the sun as HC's.
What is it about head coaching that does that to you? Probably large frames to begin with, having football backgrounds. Then probably a lot of bulking foods served at the facility, but not hitting the weight room to burn the calories. MLF looks pretty small for a coach.
