Recorded on Tuesday morning..

In case no one can hear it..Little tid bits

Talks about Brewers and friends with Ran Braun, and how Ryan stole the title belt..Imitation is highest form of flattery...Close friends with Ryan...Enjoys watching the Brewers play...Sounds like a good knowledgeable fan when it comes to the Brewers..

Peter talks about Brett in the 90's, going out to dinner and how Brett didnt seem to mind people seeing him...Rodgers says he enjoys interacting to the fans, likes to shake hands or get pat on the back....

Peter says, one most enlightening thing about him written during SB week...It was an interview with Rodgers dad...His dad is a chiropractor in Chico, and nothing in his 3 chair waiting room office indicates that Aaron is his son..No colors, posters or such..

His dad coached him in basketball, baseball, 10 year old league stuff..Dad made priority to support his kids..hardly ever missed a game as he grew up and went to college..

Did his dad imparted low ego, team first aspect...Rodgers gives credit to his dad for that..

but I think Packers PR has helped some--- that's my comment....

Growing watching the Niners as a freshman in HS, seeing how he would fit in as quarterback..

6, 7 years old, knew players stats.

Started to learn the terminology of plays and what they meant (what age didnt hear it? )

Junior college--and had a successful year---Most people thought played there maybe cuz bad student, or not good...The college was 10 minutes from his house...Was important, and learned leadership there...

Draft day 2005--sitting in green room---Embarrassing? Rodgers says it was embarrassing, thinking he was a top ten pick....Looking back on it now lot of pride how he handled it, his family and friends around him handled it..Says lot about their character..

Peter---3 years he sitting and wants to play...Looking back what is the moral of the story...Good things come to those that wait....Those years were valuable to him, learning position and becoming an expert at the offense...not going to speculate on the what if it he went somewhere else..

Peter--Weird with no real mini camps the rookie q/b playing very well this year...Rodgers thinks the next generation of q/b playing real well..He was impressed by Cam Newton...

Peter--Cam seems to be really upset to lose..Rodgers thinks that shows a true competitor....Their offense is going to be very good..

What is it like to have a totally different style then what Brett had as the q/b....Rodgers, mimic somethings from Brett, or some stuff do different..Soak up as much as he could from Brett..Gave credit to other coaches from high school on up.. SAYS WAS NICE TO PLAY BEHIND A HALL OF FAMER was beneficial..

The 3 years he mostly watched..What one aspect from Brett was the best trait that he learned..Eye control, and looking off defenders...

Summer of 08, mayhem around him...Early in the season, had losses, but some of his best performances..How was he able to handle it all and still play very well.. Put the stuff to the side and play...Admits it was a distraction, waste of energy to deal with some of the questions...Just got on the field and played the games and put all the stuff to the side...

Peter----You seem to have the ability week to week, to be versatile and variable...Do you go into a meeting on Wed, are you anxious to see what the coaches will have you do??? starts in his own mind on Monday and Tues to think how to attack a team...He talks to Mike and others on ways to attack..

Steve Young, how he would get mad at Rice for demanding the ball....Rodgers doesnt think we have anything like that..If they do have them, it is done behind closed doors..Who ever is open gets the ball..

Is he surprised he is playing at a high level...He expects to play well from the coaches, the preparations, training and the staff, to put him in situations to be successful

Back to SB pass to Jennings near the end, where that got a 30 yard pass to convert on the 3rd down in the 4th q..Throw like that, total confidence on he can throw it in a tight space ( defender tipped it with finger nail) is that the type of play he only does if he is real confident...Greg was the only option on that play.Practiced that play a lot...Has confidence in Greg to be where he will put it...Confidence in the coaches to call the play...

I can chip in on the junior college subject :

1) He went there because the only big school who wanted Aaron was in the mid-west or east coast and they were only offering him a practice squad or 3rd string role. So he decided to stay local...which ended up being the better move as Cal eventually noticed him and the rest is history.

2) Butte College isn't 10 minutes from ANYONE's house. I live here in Chico, his home town. The college is half way between Chico and Oroville, Ca. Kind of in the middle of no-where along Ca Hwy. 70 Great school, decent football program. Larry Allen played at Butte College too.
