"Jets fans remember Paul Hackett as the offensive coordinator blamed for just about everything that went wrong. Well, he might be back calling plays, this time in Green Bay. Hackett, 59, gave head coach Mike McCarthy his first break in coaching when he hired him as an assistant at the University of Pittsburgh in 1989. McCarthy joined Hackett with the Chiefs in 1993 as part of Marty Schottenheimer's coaching staff.

Should Hackett join the Packers as offensive coordinator, it might impact Brett Favre's decision on whether to return. If Favre gets enough negative feedback on Hackett - and there is plenty out there - it could hasten his retirement. Then again, if Favre doesn't like the idea, maybe Hackett doesn't get the job."

Can Favre Hackett?

Hardly comforting.

Hackett SUCKS..

He is WORSE than SHERROSSLEY!

Hiring him would be a HUGE mistake. Having Hackett and Shottenheimer on the same coaching staff would GUARANTEE that the Pack will be cellar dwellers for a long time to come...

Don't do it..MM
