Losing Brett Favre
Posted by trippster on Wednesday, March 05, 2008 (21:27:31) (406 reads)
A few years ago, someone whom I have grown to know well, lost her 9 year old son to cancer. The loss was sickening. People would reach out to console her as they best knew. "It will be ok," they would say, or "he is in a better place", they would remark.

PackerForum.com Nominated for an Award
Posted by Ryan on Sunday, February 24, 2008 (06:28:00) (129 reads)
PackerForum.com has been nominated for a Titletown Award, on CheeseHeadTV.com for "Site Design Excellence"
A snippet from the CheeseHeadTV.com Nomination Page:
Forums and message boards are the superhighways of fan communication in the worldwide web of the Green Bay Packers. In fact the early message boards were the roots of building the web of the Pack. So it’s only fitting that The Titletown’s shine their spotlight on one of the best forums about The Packers. For us, what makes a good forum is good dialogue and a willingness to allow people to say things you don’t really approve of or condone. Mix in a youthful irreverance and a design that just feels right, just enough kitsch, just enough brawn and a lively, timely cadre of members and Packer Forum lives up to it’s name.
Thank you CheeseHeadTV for the nomination and we appreciate everything you and the other nominees do for the Packers online community!

Booze, Broads, Bikinis, Brett... and you get the idea!
Posted by BobbyOShea on Wednesday, January 02, 2008 (20:46:56) (590 reads)

The "Brett Favre laughing at every prognosticator 2007" tour of destruction laughed at the Detroit Lions once again today, 34-13. I was able to watch the game with the Greenville Packer Backers , which was an outstanding time. If you're ever in the upstate South Carolina area during a Packers game, this is definitely the place to check out... just ask for Tim! Here's a picture of the "Packer Fries."

Anyway, back to the ass-whooping. I was a little leery of this game,

Bears, Bears, Bears..
It's nice that we can finally annihilate these (edited)s this weekend after the earlier season egg that we laid in the second half against them. I've come to realize that the Bears are kid of like herpes: they only flare up every couple of years and aren't very threatening, but they are extremely annoying.
I can't wait to see the performance that Ol' Neckbeard is going to have against the Pack.. my guess is that he doesn't play more then a half. After the game he's going to go live in a tree with Jake Plummer, change his name to "Moon Child," and listen to Moody Blues albums over and over again.
Here's a funny tidbit... if you Google "Bears" one of the things that comes up is a sect of the gay community which is fairly relevant and definitely hilarious:
Bear is an affectionate gay slang term for those in the bear communities, a subculture in the gay community. Bears trend towards having hairy bodies and facial hair; some are heavy-set, but that is not a requirement. Hmmm... Can you say Orton and Urlacher, or most of the greater Chicago area for that matter? I think we're on to something!
Man, I hate those guys!
Go Pack!
