From what I heard the Seahawks want a good player with a decent contract. That eliminates Matthews and Cobb from consideration.
It doesn't eliminate Davante Adams.

Yea I would guess it would be more than just a 1st... like a 1st and 3rd
and we might get Sherman and a LATE pick (6th maybe) back
Hahaha! If Ted pulls that off I'll never say anything bad about him again! Why on earth would the Seahawks be interested in trading an All-Pro cornerback fir Barclay and Gunter???

This is why GM's and coaches decide things and not us fans.If it's true, as Schefter is reporting, that Sherman is the one who actually asked Seattle to trade him and THEN talked all that crap about how the trade rumors make him laugh and they won't know what they had till he's gone... that would make him an even bigger tool than he already is.
I have a feeling if either Capers or MM are saying "Hell No, we don't want that on the field or in the locker room", TT hasn't even given Sherman a thought.Ironically, Vice versa, Im not so sure TT is enthused about Sherman coming to GB because it's not in Teds DNA to overpay for a guy with some question marks (e.g AP) Then to trade Hundley who so far has been of such high character and a quick study. That trade doesn't make sense to me regardless of how us fans feel about bringing in Sherman (although I wouldn't be surprised to see us make a trade for Hundley in the future once he gets a few more stripes.I don't believe the Seahawks consider Hundley or Spriggs a good enough player to include in a trade for Sherman.
Guessing any player involved (one that Seattle values) would leave a hole in the Packer roster, whether its a starter or a backup.
NE has no 1st or 2nd round pick to trade. Dallas is capped out. Atlanta is capped out. Arizona is a division rival. Steelers are supposedly interested in Revis.
Carolina and Oakland and GB look like the only real suitors who check all the boxes for Richard Sherman.

To be fair to Sherman he has never been arrested or in trouble with the law. He is huge in the community and does things there. He has never been accused of not playing hard and played hurt all last season. He is super competitive and wants to win. I don't think the guy even drinks.
Not sure why the Packers wouldn't "want him on the field".
We can throw these other bums we have on the field but not Richard Sherman?
However, if the Packers are even considering trading for a player like Sherman, they need to look at and weigh the entire package that Sherman would bring to the Packers and their fans.

Does this make Trufant the new best CB in the league?Meanwhile the Falcons drop almost 70 million to tie up there no.1 corner. When are people gonna finally realize that you have to be willing to spend money to win a Super Bowl.

Atlanta's and Washington's reality of guaranteeing 60-70 % is most definitely not Thompson's reality. His reality is around 30%.No, it shows what a proven no.1 corner is worth and there value. What TT thinks and what the reality is are two different things.

Better go back and check and see if Atlanta and Washington ever overpays contracts. I think everyone knows the answer to that.Well in Clay Matthews case it wouldn't matter if it was 10 percent. Thompson still pays the damn overpaid contract so what difference does it make?
My point in regards to the Trufant extension is that unless you have a premier corner on a rookie contract which we don't then that's what a no.1 type corner costs. Going out and shopping at the Goodwill for Devon House doesn't cut it.

About House. We shall see how he fares compared to how Gilmore, Bouye and big contract guys do.
Yes. Plus, I heard heI would beg to differ on the "never arrested" part.

While Richard Sherman isn't known as a wife beater, a child whipper or a man who has punched a woman in a restaurant, it is hard to deny that both his personality and his style of play can be polarizing amongst his coaches, teammates and Seahawk fans. I don't really question his abilities at all and think he would be a vast improvement for the Packers at the CB position. However, if the Packers are even considering trading for a player like Sherman, they need to look at and weigh the entire package that Sherman would bring to the Packers and their fans.
Im in agreement with you on the point we need a top CB. I disagree that we should step over some moral or ethical boundary to acquire said player.I think him helping bringing another "Lombardi" back to Green Bay would keep everyone quite happy.
TT could right a lot of wrongs here.

You've heard It said not to put all your eggs in one basket. I think eggs = $$$
and the basket = Sherman.
IMO We can win a Championship without changing our business model. We've already got our fair share of player distractions, we don't need a Richard Sherman, a Beckingham or a Desean Jackson to stir up the lockerroom.
I'd rather find another Reggie, a Julius or Donald Driver.

While I can see the points made by some here about distractions, I also think it can be overdone.
Are we trying to be a nice, pleasant boys club of some sort , or win championships?
