To believe that Jamaal Williams (love that guy) met/exceeded expectations to the same degree as Evan Williams for a fourth rounder I just don't get or agree with. But again, I think we are on the same page as we simply are "grading" a different thing is all.
Yeah you’re probably right there. I’ll lower Jamaal to a B- I forgot he didn’t really hit stride
1,100
17 TD’s
until after he went to Detroit.

Still, he wasn’t a slouch in GB. Jamaal quietly performed across his Rookie contract:
2,946 Yards
(737 All Purpose per season)
18 TD’s
(4.5 TD’s per season)

Jamaal matched Dillon’s 4-yr TD totals (18 TD) and was 61 yards per season behind AJ Dillon. Yet remember Dillon was a #62; RD2 selection and played regularly. Jamaal was selected a FULL 2 Rounds later. I’d much rather have Jamaal Williams in RD4 than Dillon in RD2.

Not to mention Jamaal was a very good Pass blocker. Watch the perfect form block on Anthony Barr. He would regularly stalemate a blitzing LB.

I'm certainly glad Evan Williams is on our team. He is a tough ballplayer and seems to have a nose for the ball. I wouldn't mind a few pics but love that he is here just the way he is.

I’m in 100% agreement. Except the part about INT because he had 3 pics in 2025. :whistling:

I guess 3 is all right. Maybe tops for the team huh?
I’m not sure. Either way in all seriousness I do agree way we do need more INT That was one place we’ve regressed. We’ve got just the guy because Bobby Babich is either the luckiest DB Coach to walk the face of the Earth or he’s a INT whisperer. His units have been routinely towards the top of the league. He’s had like 3 Probowl to All Pro Players he’s Coached and they always seem to elevate when he’s around.

I still think DT needs to be a top focus this draft. I know we could use a top CB or Top WR or good RB, but if given the choice to get a dynamic player in 2026 if we got someone like Miller Jr we’d be exponentially totally better imo. We’d be back to forcing opponents to quick throw like beginning of 2025 and that feeds into our strength of our Defense.

I don’t feel a need to overreach hard at all. However if someone that we really like late RD1 is still available in the mid to later 30’s draft area, I’d not hesitate to use a #52+ #84 and move up. Past Kraft, Brian does not have the best track record anyway using an #80’s type selection.

My other angle would be to Package a Pair of RD4 2026/2027 and move back into RD3 a second time.
