Henderson knew it was coming, and I think he and the team will part amicably.
Lets see if I follow ol' Ted on this one:
1)Don't want to jump into the early high-priced bidding wars. Gone are Green, Lewis, Henry, etc. The best of the free agents. Left to bid on are guys who were marginal with their former teams.
2)The Packers main back is V. Morency. He was traded even up for Samkon Gado, who TT didn't like. TT's main back, Green, is now the main back in Texas.(Is Gado still there?) So we now have a main back who was swapped one-for-one for a guy who is still a backup to our FORMER GUY.
3)TT said in another article he wants to build from within. Right now his starting back is a trade from Texas, his main backup was brought here from Pittsburgh's practice squad. Henderson is gone, so a practice squad guy can start and he's sniffing around Atlanta's former fullback. One out of four is building from within, I guess.
4)As each day passes, I can't help but think both Peterson and Lynch will be gone by the time the Packers draft at 16. And as we all know, ol' Ted doesn't trade up. I read somewhere where he likes a guy who is likely to be picked in the fourth round. I can hear the NFL shaking.
5)So, are we going to have a back as good as Ahman Green when the season starts in September? Look at Green's numbers and try to convince yourself that V. Morency can take the pounding and block, catch and run as A. Green did. Keep smokin' that stuff, as it dulls the pain.
