Scotty I swear there is a off license near me in Birmingham where the owner has spent over a year trying to get me to buy ONE American Goose Island bottled beer for £17 a bottle. I love good quality beer, but that is a little too much for me.

Have any of you folks tried Sam Adams Cold Snap? Bill? Have you? Every Brit should get a good dose of Samuel Adams. (Especially near the beginning of July. )

Never tried that one Mr C but have drunk other Adams ales.

This was a lovely beer. I was in a pub near Marleybone station after visiting the Tower of London. It was very similar to an English Mild with the mearest hint of bitter.

Sadlers Thin Ice is a favourite of mine. Sadlers brewery is only 10mins from where I live, and their pub The Windsor Castle is brilliant, a 'real' pub.

Just enjoying a Thin Ice this minute WP. Very refreshing with home made Corn beef Hash.

Well there is a lot of craft beers that are canning these days. I'm all for it.

Canned Craft beer? Really. ? That doesnt fit to the idea of "handmade" beer. And I havent seen any over here so far. Do you have an example for a canned craft beer Bundesbiers? Who does it ?

It fits these days since they have increased the quality of the inner lining of the cans. By just the feel of the can, it is a little heavier and thicker. I believe its a high grade food plastic lining the inside of the cans, which does not produce any off flavors, and tastes the same from the bottle. I even did a taste test from the same exact beer (Ballast Point Sculpin). Someone poured the beer into clear glasses (1 Sculpin from the bottle, and 1 Sculpin from the can). We couldn't figure out which is which. When you were in California, you had Ballast Point Beers, you just didn't know they were canning as well.

It's amazing how many of them are canning these days. We even have a microbrewery in Las Vegas canning their beers.
