I see GOOD vet players traded for late round draft picks. Deebo for a 5th (if I recall correctly? Although he had issues in SF. We need some “bigs”. Might it not be possible to trade a late round draft pick for a guy languishing somewhere who we think might be a fit in our system vs using that 5th,6th, 7th round pick? I don’t think you’ll get a quality CB but you might pick up a guy who will fit in your OL/DL rotation. I thought I saw that we are getting 2 7th round comp picks. Also I always wonder about using a 7th rounder to move up in the 5th or 6th if there’s “a guy” we want 10-12 picks before “our turn” vs seeing him picked so we can get a guy we might very well be able to grab as an UDFA.

To me it is very rare that after the beginning of the 5th that the separation of prospects is very much. Yes, gems are out there and you'll see me banging a drum for a few guys every round still but really it becomes at that point you like a guy's potential enough and think he may become something but not a whole heck of difference due to alot of the known issues or shortcomings in the guys to be there at that point.

Tough for me to want anyone on the O line except Tom and Belton. And most definitely not the O line coach. We should really do homework on that and make a great decision. If Gute is here; he should do it. No more "friends" being given jobs imho. We haven't made great choices on O line. It's got to be a combination of scouting and coaching.

Morgan had some excellent games and some terrible games inside but honestly he clearly has proven he is a tackle and is far far more at home there. He will be an opening day 2026 starter at LT or RT (if Tom's still healing which is likely).

Good question. Someone iterated that no matter where else we are in need we have to address DL and/or OL. The team cannot continue to allow 300 yard rushing games nor get stuffed when we have 4th and 1 every week.
When did they give up 300 yards rushing last season?

So imo there’s a high probability we get both Parsons ((went down 12/14) and Wyatt (went down 11/27) by around mid season. It wouldn’t shock me at all to see Micah at least seeing limited snaps in October as we likely ramp his usage up gradually.

We still need to function at Edge and DT in the meantime and our biggest concern is DT imo. After losing Clark and now Wyatt likely out to start in 2026, for me that’s a Top 3 area of concern. I’d get either 1 of the 2 of DT or OL in FA. Then the other one is getting drafted in Day2, 2026. Just seems like iDT is a smidge easier to transition from College than OL.

It's tough to tell if you want the #1 "must do" or multiple "changes."

I'll just give my #1 and that is solidify the offensive line. There is a lot that we need to do on defense, but I think that our biggest problem this year has been an inability to effectively run the ball and pass protect. Fix the OL and we should be scoring points at will, which makes defense little more than an afterthought to be tinkered with but not overhauled (assuming a healthy, upright ship).
Good service interior olinemen and interior d linemen go in the 3rd -5th rounds consistently. I think we should just commit to drafting a couple interior linemen on offense and defense in the 2-4 rounds to try and get the picks of the litter for a few years in a row. Until we are stacked with home grown organic talent on rookie contracts.

If I remember right we had 3 olinemen on $20+ mil a year contracts this year. I'm going to look and see what's up there.

Last off-season I was very uncharacteristically bullish on the Packers 2025 chances if they could improve from within by players taking the 2nd and 3rd year jumps.

I specifically targeted Kraft, Reed, Love and Cooper but also mentioned Williams. Kraft made a leap and then had the ACL. Reed was hurt. Love improved but was underutilized IMO and Cooper regressed. There's a big reason why the season flopped.

Given the limited resources, improving from within will be an even bigger need in 2026. If the Packers hope to improve in 2026, here are guys with the talent IMO that will need and have the potential to make the big jump:

Morgan- He'll probably be playing LT. Critical position to say the least.
Cooper- enormous talent. It has to be developed and utilized better.
Golden - He's got a lot talent but needs to be properly utilized.
Reed - Needs to stay healthy but the team really needs a weapon at slot receiver.
Williams- Has had two good years but he needs to make more plays on the ball to up his game.
Belton - Starting on the O line as a rookie isn't easy. I like his trajectory. The game isn't too fast for him and he's a massive force in the run game.

Perhaps Bullard could be on this list but he may already be playing at his ceiling. Nevertheless, he's one of my favorite players.

Man, these sports analysts & former players just believe MLF is a top coach. Somethings amuck. It's like as long as MLF is the coach no SB's for GB without admitting it. They don't want GB cuz they want to talk dallas,Ny,Pitt,Phil. I know, I know, they know more than I ever will but somethings still not right.

Anyway, if we get a new HC, it will take the team several weeks to get used to and familiar with what the coach wants which will be good for the previous injured players to get completely healed up.

And Fitzpatrick, not that he is Kraft.
Fitzpatrick quietly snuck into that TE3 role. Either Kraft and Musgrave both locked under contract (and Kraft likely getting an extension) we aren’t desperate at TE at all. If we draft a TE in 2026, we almost slow the growth of someone like Fitz, who they really seem to like he took a nice 3rd year jump. So Unless we take a TE very late draft and with one of our RD7 selections, we get kinda full there.

Also while Luke never really popped,he did show some signs of growth. He’d been a relative disappointment though. Really thought he’d shine this year and he was mediocre. He did rank 14th across all TE in securing the catch and tied with Dalton Schultz, 77.4%, but his usage was suspect.

Unless we take one late, late draft and with one of our RD7 selections, where we can stash one on Practice Squad.

Also while Luke never really popped,he did show some signs of growth. He had 8/14 games with a 100% catch rate. In his other worst 6 games, he still posted a 56% reception rate. I call him “sticky hands” because of his solid 77.4% catch rate. He ranked 14th across all TE in securing the catch and tied with Dalton Schultz.

We essentially have Musgrave and Fitzpatrick as our main two next year to start....not great at all, but not bad at all either. Swinson has been with the team two years now and this third year could be the year with Kraft out that he gets reps. I wish like heck Ben Sims hadn't been let go - I still think he offers more to this team from a role perspective than Musgrave has shown he can provide with his different traits.

Look for us to add that 4th rounder to 6th rounder type TE or seek out a Ben Sims type guy we liked in draft process but didn't get yet is released from his team during TC or preseason.

As for the draft everyone knows I loved Oronde Gadsen and had a borderline 2nd round grade on him....well the league told me I was bullish and he went in the fifth round (only 11 picks from being in the 6th) but his rookie year was one of the best out there amongst TEs and proved me right LOL. Strongly doubt I can identify the Gadsen of this year but here are two guys I'm a fan of early that I think has that potential despite likely being there come Day 3

Tanner Koziol 6'7" 250lbs out of Houston (25') by way of Ball State (22'-24')
A frame for days he is an immediate RZ target at the next level just as he was for Houston and Ball State before that. This kid as a ROOKIE at Ball State put up 7 TDs / 373 yards on a mere 35 receptions (10.7 YPR). The three years he was at Ball State he put up 1507 yards on 163 receptions (9.2 YPR) and 18 TDs. 2025 he played for Houston where he put up 6 TDs and 727 yards (9.8 YPR) on 74 receptions. He closed out the 2025 year with a bowl game against LSU and thrived - 9 receptions | 76 yards | 1TD

Tanner is a receiving threat in every single sense of the word BUT does it out of in-line alignment A LOT - unlike many receiving threat TEs. Last three years his alignment breakdwon is 509 in-line and 571 in the slot. Almost a 1 to 1 ratio for a guy with so many yards, receptions and TDs is awesome to see. So why isn't he getting top 100 hype?? Truthfully, he doesn't pop, doesn't have rare speed or rare leaping ability - nor is he a great run blocker.

But from my study of him, I think his run blocking will only improve and honestly often times it is being overpowered on power moves than it is being able to stay engaged on spin moves. I see a willing blocker and one who is typically in the right spot, is quick enough to get to his assignment he just doesn't have the strength right now or the technique to win reps consistently.

Put simply I see him as a poor man's Luke Musgrave replacement that might be a slight downgrade in blocking week 1 and a touch slower, but every bit capable in the passing game - likely more so because he has better route running and foot work setting up defenders than Musgrave seems to have now years after being drafted. Nice thing is with Musgrave still here, Tanner wouldn't be asked to do an awful lot out the gate but until Kraft returns might prove to be capable and Musgrave expendable after the 26' season with ease.

Eli Raridon 6'7" 252 lbs out of Notre Dame
The Irish put forth solid TEs often into the NFL...I predict that Raridon at worst is going to be a Fasano type level player at the next level - a guy that played 11 years in the league, averaged around 300 yards a season with 3 TDs...solid TE2 numbers for a team (Mayer in 2023 and Evans in 2025). Raridon had to set behind TWO STUDs until 2025 was finally his year and put up solid numbers for a team that didn't throw a ton - 482 yards on 32 receptions (15.1 YPR) but did not surprisingly get any TDs.

I watch nearly every single Notre Dame game and he is for sure a step up in the run blocking category if you compare to Tanner above, has a touch more strength, seems to sink his hips when engaged for leverage better too. ND split him out 4 more times than keeping him in-line so nearly perfect 50/50 alignment guy. The knack of Raridon in the passing game is his knack for delayed releases up the seam or his ability to use his footwork and quickness to get by defenses along the sidelines - and once the ball is in the air using his massive frame so well to shield defenders. His agility at least on film appears VERY high, and I look forward to his testing. He is a guy I could see slide up into the end of the 3rd but also could be there Day 3 early. Little more complete TE or all around TE in his future if I were to predict than Tanner which is why I suspect he goes earlier.

Both of these would be excellent guys to keep eye on and add to our room for the future to pair with Kraft who I pray heals great and we pay to stay for a long time.

Couldn’t agree more.

When you have a roster with a large proportion of Rookie contracts, player growth needs to happen. It’s really a must. Here we actually regressed.

Yes we can factor injuries and argue all that and NO, you can’t always control some injuries. Yet it’s a 100% fact that including all “excuses” our production was down. Only Offensive players Romeo Doubs and Luke Musgrave both clipped their 2024 totals yards, but it was minimal.

The rest are all Offensive players who each regressed in production (for any reason) from the previous season.
Love (- 2 TD)
Kraft
Reed
Watson
Jacobs
Wicks
Melton
Wilson
Brooks

Doubs and Musgrave highlighted our Production increases and it was a meager increase. This team MUST improve on Offense and it had better be markedly if they want to compete in the NFC North. The Vikings are questionable, but also finished strong. The Lions are always going to present problems and I suspect they’ll at least be competitive. Then the Bears are now the class of the Division.

I always say we are always a slave to either improving or declining. Nobody gets to sit on the fence. If we expect to remain content well that’s making a decision to not improve by default. Every other team does not just sit around stagnant waiting to see what Green Bay will do. I’d even argue that it’s very possible that our North Division will have a significant Win total increase and outperform 2025.

MLF has a 2-1 win-loss ratio as a young coach.... He will be a great coach for 20+ years if he chooses to. A living legend if he stays here ....
GB would be stupid to not keep him.

I think Parsons and Diggs are going to raise the level of violence on defense... Listening to him talk about, "everyone will be expected to do their job plus some".... And Diggs is kind of like the Robin to Parsons Batman. The guy who benefits from parsons terrorizing QBs ... Robin is there closing off the outlets, cleaning up. Those two are big physical guys who can single handedly raise the level of play with leading by example... IMO.

That said. I think MLF needs to embrace the violence along with Batman and Robin. Drive it home with some good old fashioned fear. Lol. Bill belicheck style. :).

Like.... McManus..... He should've been fired and not allowed back in the locker room. Escorted out of the building ... Lol. Set a precedent. That loss called for some irrational anger.... Broken chit..... So that crazy eyes works next year.....:) release the fury!!!! IMO lol

Hang on...

It is misguided and shortsighted to me and I'd argue very illogical to ignore injuries and just say Watson and Kraft regressed playing the semantical game of adding purely based on production.

Christian Watson
2024 averaged per game - 41.3 yards / 1.93 receptions / and chipped in 2 TDs the entire season
2025 averaged per game - 61.1 yards / 3.5 receptions / and chipped in 6 TDs the entire season (Watson put up 9 less yards in 5 less games...611 yards vs 650 yards)
He doubled to tripled his production essentially for the team when out there. Not too mention he also has continued to be one of if not best blocking WR on the team, countless times down field when we spring TDs or long runs #9 is somewhere blocking his *** off.

Tucker Kraft
2024 average per game - 41.6 yards / 2.94 receptions / and chipped in 7 TDs all season
2025 average per game - 61.1 yards / 4 receptions / and chipped in 6 TDs (nearly 1TD every game clip)

Is massive disengenuine to say either of these players regressed.

$34m of Banks $47 mil is dead cap if he isn't on the team the next two years. Like it or not, he is the left guard for two years IMO.

Yeah, the only way he isn't here next season is a Post June 1st cut. Likely not happening, especially if we let Rasheed and Rhyan both walk (likely IMO).

Yes that's spooky....
Looking at the dead cap/cap savings. Jenkins coming off an injury, into the last year of his contract $4.8m dead, $19.5m saved.... You think GB lets Jenkins go too?
