What are your #1 "must do" changes for the Packers for next season to win the division
besides staying healthy and to right the ship.
It's tough to tell if you want the #1 "must do" or multiple "changes."

I'll just give my #1 and that is solidify the offensive line. There is a lot that we need to do on defense, but I think that our biggest problem this year has been an inability to effectively run the ball and pass protect. Fix the OL and we should be scoring points at will, which makes defense little more than an afterthought to be tinkered with but not overhauled (assuming a healthy, upright ship).

Good question. Someone iterated that no matter where else we are in need we have to address DL and/or OL. The team cannot continue to allow 300 yard rushing games nor get stuffed when we have 4th and 1 every week.

In my eyes, Diggs might be a improvement with a full off season. Parsons won't be back late or not at all in 2026-27. We need minimum 2 DTs that weigh over 300 and an Edge rusher. If Watson doesnt break his neck the WR corps is solid. The O line with healthy Tom could be ok depending on our RG progress as he is a road grader. The Jenkins center experiment should be over, as he should return to LG if he can play. A LT is needed either by draft, FA, or something else. Malik will be in Miami or Oakland book it. No way u keep Bisacchia, he seems to be good at the two kickers but nothing else. Back up QB is needed although I have no idea who.

Saw video of Parsons last night working out on exercise bike, he had about 6 inch bandage on his knee and his foot was taped to the bike pedal. He looked stiff in and in some pain but was pedaling away. I think in 10 months he will be close. Lets say mid Oct.

He should borrow a leg from Adrian Peterson who had an ACL and MCL on Xmas Eve and was lighting it up the next season for over 2,000 yards.

I think I saw him rotating backwards too. Which was very tough after a new knee and late rehab start for me. I think he is taking it real seriously. My money is on him.

#1 bolster our DT group should be a primary concern. While I appreciate the late season buffering of depth, it’s also time to get Kenny Clark’s replacement.

Secondly I’d go after a really good outside CB to bolster our Room. Make Diggs Win out over the competition it’ll only make him stronger. Plus CB’s always get injured you need 3-4 good Boundary Options.

Thirdly, Teams needs an overhaul. This area has been an ongoing struggle for too long. Rich seems like a fine gentleman, but even he’d admit we’re nowhere close to being a game changing Teams group. We need Teams to be an asset not a liability.

I wouldn't be surprised if Diggs is cut after the season. He's not living up to his current contract but was more or less free for a single game and the playoffs.

I think I've mentioned this elsewhere, but I dislike grouping special teams under one umbrella. Personally, I'm more than satisfied with our kickoff (15th average returns) and punt teams (4th net-average), underwhelmed with kick return (22nd average) and disappointed in punt return (last). Most of the FG issues seem I blame on McMannus' injury.

Note that our coverage teams seems pretty good, but we have an good specialists. The return teams don't have their specialist. I'm not sure how much blame is with Rich and how much is with not having a good returner on the roster (or a willingness to use Nixon.)

Diggs may just get a shot. The Packers do not have all the draft picks due to the Parsons trade. And they need players on the DL and OL in addition to corner. So shelving Diggs for a 3rd or 4th round corner or an undrafted free agent does not help that position.

He's a body, so I don't want to discount him out of hand, but he has not played well since he got paid. Jokes about the Cowboys and their roster building aside, they decided they should cut him and take a 28 million dollar dead-cap hit. That is not a ringing endorsement.

He's scheduled to make 15M, 19.5M, and 20M in base salary each of the next three years. It is also possible he's a distraction and refuses to play without a new deal--which makes sense, as he has zero remaining guaranteed money.

Brandon McManus, KeSean Nixon, Sean Rhyan, Banks and LaFleur and Butkus better not be part of this team or Gutey is in breech of his contract

If MLF is let go. Even though many might like J.Harbough, he appears to be nice guy, calm, etc. but I'm a little tired of that. I want to see a LOMBARDI style coach with fire in his belly and a real desire to kick ***. Who that is right now, not sure but someone like the Indiana Univ. football coach. Personally I'd do whatever it takes to get him on the sidelines.
It's a tough business. If MLF is let go it might be the best thing for him to find a better fit for his football skills.

I agree. Fire in the belly from the coach transcends to players. And I do not mean in penalties. I saw a game with the Broncos and Texans this year. It went down to the wire. Sean Payton, during the last timeout, went onto the field and yelled to his kicker " Right Thru! " And the kicker delivered to win the game. Like Lombardi, you need to be emphatic, demonstrative, and your players have to feel what you are feeling.

Nixon, gone

Not that I have any confidence the special teams will get better since they've sucked for 20 years.

Valentine sucks. Nixon sucks and is stupid.

Walker couldn't block an internet troll.

Gut has drafted 16 O lineman since he was promoted in 2018. He has signed or traded for two first round picks from other teams. The Packers need a total reset in their personnel department. It isn’t that they don’t bring in talent, it’s that they don’t draft first round talent and they have to bring in that talent from other teams. No team should have a strategy to draft players in the first round with the notion that they can “see” the potential in a first round pick and develop that player to be worthy a first round selection. That player should have demonstrated on the field in college they were talented enough to be selected in the first round. They need a Ron Wolf kind of GM who recognizes talent. Gut is a product of the Packers organization. I think the Packers have over estimated their abilities because of the talent of Aaron Rodgers as quarterback. They have overlooked their failure to return to the Super Bowl which can be attributed to the poor decisions in the drafts after 2010 to draft top offensive skill players in the first round. There is a reason players are drafted in the first round. They are perceived to be the most talented, the best. Those players don’t always succeed, but some teams are perennial failures regardless of who they draft. Football is a team sport. QBs and coaches don’t win games, teams do. Coaches don’t have to be bad to lose, they can be not good enough. The Packers should have a hard reset instead of dragging this out. The current GM and coaches are not good enough. The current QB and some other players are not good enough. The Packers need a better GM to come in and start from scratch. The mistakes have already been made. The Packers are not getting better. The hype around the players is just that, hype. Not reality. Jordan Love can’t pass down th sideline accurately. He can’t judge the distance. He panics under pressure and makes bad choices. He physically can’t take the pounding. The Packers would be better off to trade some of their top players and get more draft picks.

Move Hafley up to HC. Get someone in who can either maintain or improve on the defense (early part of the season) get rid of Stenovich, and Butkus, trade McManus and Nixon to Miami...put Gutey on notice that if she O-Line isn't fixed by opening day he's gone.
