"Impact" is sadly something I've learned is quite dependent on the person...and I'd argue many are just unrealistic on what making an impact as a rookie is...
To be fair Gute and GB has been on an absolute TEAR when it comes to contributing rookies of late for years really...that said I'll just run quickly through some of note IMO:
Golden - I think folks likely need to realize we have some guys established in the system (Doubs, Reed, Wicks) make the things I'm hearing about Golden putting up 1,000 yards really needs some reality injected into it. Watson is even going to come back at some point as well...but don't get me wrong I think as a rookie Golden likely would shock me at all with a line of like 6TD, 65Rec and 700 yards. He's going to be a high level contributor I think in a few games...could totally see like 50% of his production coming in just four games...just the type of player mixed with roster and rookie type thing I wouldn't be shocked of.
Belton - I mentioned it when we drafted Tom, he CAN start year 1, but the roster may not allow it out the gate. I personally think they need to decide the LT of the future, if it is Walker Morgan is your other guard and Belton has ZERO chance of starting this year as Banks and Morgan are the guards. BUT I personally envision Morgan is the LT of the future and we could see Belton push for RG responsibility. To me realistic impact Belton will have is when we have an injury happen and he steps in and contributes.
Savion - I love Savion but overdrafted and really is that RB playing WR type guy (better, taller version of Ty Montgomery IMO). I think like Ty Montgomery Savion will contribute relatively early and do well with what he is asked to do. He will be impactful with the limited calls structured for him.
Sorrell - Sorrell IMO besides Belton is arguably the one guy I circle as both mentally and physically ready for the NFL and I could envision him truly being that stable depth guy that hits 30-40% of the defensive snaps purely because of his consistency...and an edge fourth rounder to be being talked of that level I think is massively impactful relatively.
Oliver - Oliver is part off ball part outside...that I think takes time to really find his groove but there is a DUDE in there potentially for sure.
Nazir - I have not been more sure of an UDFA filling a role on a team more than Nazir...we have no one IMO that can help fill the Slaton departure along with Clark likely playing more 1T.
**Honorable Mentions - we have some incredible safeties but that 5th spot to me is up for grabs and if injury would strike don't be shocked if Jonathan Baldwin gets called up and delivers....similar to Jamon Dumas Johnson....Quay injured right now has to have JDJ licking his chops for the chance it may provide.
