Can we get some specific guidelines? Rank them in order of best to worst? Assign them Madden-style ratings? Compare them against other players at their position across the league?

Sounds like a fun discussion.

Im sorry I should have given an example.

Here I go

1. Rodgers
2. Matthews
3. Williams
4. Jennings
5. Collins
6. Woodson
7. Raji
8. Finley
9. Clifton
10. Shields
11. Grant

Just an example. Go as far down the roster as you want but it gets reeeeeeal hard at about 10 I think.

1)Rodgers
2)Matthews
3)Woodson
4)Raji
5)Williams
6)Jennings
7)Collins
8.) Sitton
9)Finley
10)Clifton
11)Nelson

Went back and forth between Raji and Williams a lot. I like Raji a lot and feel he is very underrated for what he does so had to go with BJ there.
I take it this is based on next season and i can't put Grant on the list until he shows he can do something after the injury.
After this it would probably be between Hawk, Bishop, and Grant.

It depends. Rank them by importance?

If so, Woodson is ahead of Tramon Williams.

But rank them by how good they are? Williams is better than Woodson right now.

Another example, I would rank Clifton ahead of Sitton based on importance, but Sitton ahead based on quality.

To be honest, I think people are underrating Finley (Maybe because of the injuries) ... He brings a mismatch to every game and is almost unstoppable with Rodgers. Proven? No. Naturally gifted physically and pure talent? Yes.

Well done and I agree with Sitton at about 9, where you have him (although Raji is better).... but you also list Sitton at 5, and I suspect you meant someone else.

CJ Wilson is going to get a lot higher on that list in time......

Overall I rank them "Pretty Damn Good" or PDG.

I think it's hard to compare positions. So I'll just say the top 10 (in no particular order) that jump to mind are.. Drum roll please.

Aaron "Mister" Rodgers
Clay "The Predator, hunt you down and put your skull in his collection of alien skulls in his spaceship" Matthews
Greg "Put the team on his back" Jennings
Jermichael "OMG, he's got stickum for hands" Finley
Charles "In Charge" Woodson
Tramon "Earning the money" Williams
Nick "To the house" Collins
Donald "Mr. Clutch" Driver
Raji "Like a G-6" Raji
A.J. "Playing like he means it" Hawk
