I wonder why they asked us. Florio is right; it made us look like crybabies because they beat us twice last year. Hope we get some sort of payback down the road on some issue or another.
Florio is an idiot. Dude whines more than a 2 year old that had their sucker taken away. I'm sure when the Eagles use the **** push in week 10 Florio will be pulling out the lotion and tissues and givin' it a go.

21 other teams agreed with the proposal so, he going to whine about them too?

At some point someone important will blow a knee out on the play, the NFL will look like idiots, the product on the field will suffer and the play will go the way of the Dodo bird. Happened in baseball with blocking the plate. Posey got destroyed and rule changed pretty quickly.

To me, the **** push should be illegal. It being legal really destroys the old rule that said you could not aid a ball carrier to move the ball forward. If you can push him, the next thing is they'll let them grab the guys in front of them and be a flying wedge.
Ooh, I'd pay to watch that.

It'll happen, no doubt about it. Look at the QB rules now. If your hand even touches his helmet there's yellow laundry everywhere on the field and they're ready to put the defender in cuffs and cart them off to the hoosegow!

To me its not NFL at all. You shouldnt be able to lay a hand on a player and push anyone forward. The opposition should TACKLE - which seems to becoming a lost art.

Haven't heard hoosegow used since my father.

Rodger Godell is such a coward, he knows this is bad football, and this Philly sausage Rugby push is not football, ok then,
let players leap over at the QB and gang tackle him no penalties called.

You're clearly not a Red Hot Chili Peppers fan, because it is a noticeable lyric in their hit song "Give It Away" from the 90s:

Low brow, but I rock a little know how
No time for the piggies or the hoosegow
Get smart, get down with the pow-wow
Never been a better time, than right now

I like that the Packers and other teams have at least been wise enough to use a TE on the play, putting less risk to the QB. However, I think that the injury risk is relatively the same as a QB sneak.

So can two big guys take a really small guy, and throw him into the endzone?
That thought had already crossed at least 1 person's mind.

Any team that wants to ban the QB push, holds that position because they are ineffective at executing it. Many teams run the play and only the Eagles have had extraordinary success with it. There is no safety issue and there is no fairness issue, since every team has the same opportunity to use it. Attempting to ban this play is weak and cowardly.

Maybe when considering the rule, other teams should consider why Philly is successful running the play and Buffalo to some degree also, while other teams are not. Hurtz may not get enough credit for it.

When Hurts got a concussion against Washington, Philly tried to run the T-Push with Kenny Picket and was not successful. It's got to help having a QB that can squat 600 lbs.

The person most injured by the T-Push is Barklay. He probably lost half a dozen TD's to Hurtz.

Actually the Packers look to have the near ideal package to execute this play. We just added a significant amount of Beef upfront, bringing in guys on OL who were near top of their game in getting Run block leverage.
Plus GB has been bigger in the Backfield in general.

I would flip the script and fight Fire with Jet fuel by implementing this regularly. We have a TE room currently averaging 258lbs. I wonder if Stack can play RB? Get him in the backfield pushing lifting and pushing Kraft on a direct snap.

By the way, clicking on that link doesn't work because of the "****" put there by the profanity filter. The way to get around that is to click the link, and then when the page doesn't open, replace the "****" with the actual word.
I fixed that fer ya. I personally think the net nanny is a little overboard on certain sports related terms. If it's used here outside of a sports reference as in a pretty girls fanny reference I'll put it back. Also I can reference one of my favorite songs now.

For us old people I was going to jokingly put the gif of Hawkeye telling Margaret from M*A*S*H that he wanted his shot in the t**shie.

Fair warning googling 'MASH t**shie gif' gets you a whole nother' realm of MASH t**shie... And it ain't Hawkeye and Margaret.

Bless their hearts.

:)
I was at the game and had a seat directly in line with the LOS, about 7 rows back, and I could clearly see where the players lined up and he was NOT offside, he was about as close to the line as he could be, but not offside or even close enough to be questionable.

There's one thing about Cowboys fans you can always count on. They'll never admit they got beat. I've listened to their whining down here in Texas way too much to take their crybaby attitude as anything more that it is.

If there's one thing I look forward to more than anything else after a Packer win is to find out the Cowboys lost.

If there's one thing I can't stand in sports fans, it's when they can't admit when they've been beat.
I remember when Rodgers won his Super Bowl, a Steelers fan was telling me that the refs took it from them.

True that. I’ll sometimes point out a referee call that either should or should not have been called, but if it comes down to letting the Referee miss 1 call? we probably don’t deserve to Win imo.

Speaking of Cowboys fans, for a long time they complained of the The Dez
“Catch”. What gets overlooked is that play didn’t decide the game. Even IF he had scored there was PLENTY of time left and the Packers O had been rolling over Dallas all day long.

Had Dallas scored they needed a 2-point conversion to go up 3 points but would’ve left 3+ minutes plus Timeouts on the clock. That’s an eternity. If they missed the 2-points it was
Packers 26
Dallas 27

GB marched down the field on their last drive. Our previous possession was a 80 yard beating on the Dallas D.

We kneeled on the ball because Dallas was out of timeouts. Packers had scored TD’s on the last 2 possessions and were in scoring range again
1st n 10 at the Dal28. 1:43 and Timeouts also. We can run or pass
We either push a shorter FG into OT OR
Win and it’s more likely we Win in regulation.

That Jerry Rice no call fumble still sucks. We've had ours though
That one was bad because it was the end of our big run, where we had ramped up to appearing in two Super Bowls. At that point, we were on the downslide. I think that was the last game for Mike Holmgren and Reggie White for the Packers too.
