Agree with the point I think you're making in the last sentence. As for why they were losing in 2010, my first guess would be learning to work with all the new moving parts. And, remember, those six losses were by 3, 3, 3(OT), 3(OT), 4, and 4, during which they never trailed by more than a score. Also, the D only gave up more than 20 in four regular season games and two playoffs and the O only scored more than 27 in five and two. The 2011 team was smoke and mirrors, with the D giving up more than 20 nine times (ten including the playoff) but the O scoring less than 27 only three times (four with the Giants game). 2011 was just a "let's see who can score more" year, and when the offense couldn't light up the scoreboard (KC and NYG), they lost.
