really hope that Hawk shines in the 3-4. He's got the skill, but his problem seems to be his decision making. He's either tentative to hit the hole, or gets caught inside too often on outside runs.

Maybe with guys like Chillar and Bishop pushing him more now, he'll step it up.

Hawk's contract is what going to be his stumbling block with the Packers. If he proves himself this year in the new defense he will be fine, but if plays average with only 50% of the defensive plays the Packers will to try to trade him or be forced to cut him. I am a Pack fan first and I like AJ. He has been a great teammate much like R. Martin. AJ Hawk is an average LB and will be holding our new defense back with his average play.:star-wars:

If he could actually cover someone he would be above average but he is a liability on the field against teams who have decent TE's.
